Okay, I admit it. I've been coming close to breaking Plan B. It's for financial reasons. Things I don't want to go through my intermediary about. Maybe that is breaking it. I don't know.
WH is out of the country and that makes Plan B fairly easy. However, he really isn't being Mr. Nice Guy. When we were still talking, I thought we'd come to an agreement that when his bonus money came in, a portion of it would go towards a new car for me. Now, my van is acting up. My mechanic has said that it needs repairs within the next few weeks or else. I hate dumping more money into an old van. I really want a new and reliable car. I do a lot of driving. If I can't depend on anything else in my life, I need to have a car I can depend on.
Well, in typical WS fashion, when his bonus (an amount more than many people earn in a year) came in, WH immediately transferred most of it out of our joint account. Then he flew away. Didn't say a word. Just left. It took me almost 2 weeks to find out. I suppose, I should have been on my guard more. Of course, we can all find some not-very-nice words for this action. Needless to say, I'm pretty cheesed off.
Last night, I talked to his parents about this issue. They are concerned about me having an unreliable vehicle and their son's lack of honor. They asked me to give it one more go. So, I sent WH a polite, factual email and received a very snide reply back. He says he took it because he wants to use it for the kids' college tuition (fair enough) but feels that he deserves most of it for himself. I sent a copy of this email and backup financial data to to my Inlaws. I don't like putting them in the middle but they really should understand just what WH is doing. WH tries to pull the wool over his parents' eyes AKA lying big time. My finances are open; WH's are not. FIL is not pleased with his son. If nothing else, FIL feels that his son should make his car available to me while he's gone. I left a message at WH's hotel about this issue. He called this morning while I was gone but didn't even leave a message. I'm not going to even try to contact him again.
It's always a shock and a bad day when you realize, once again, that the man in your husband's skin is somebody you don't know and probably don't want to know.
I think that perhaps this weekend, I'll just go get my new car. By myself. It may cut into my reserves more than I'd like. Perhaps that makes the unthinkable a little more inevitable.
So, I have these worries, a night out much sleep and spent the day dealing with a teacher who has no understanding of high needs kids. I feel sad and angry about the way she treats these kids. Tonight, I'm feeling tired and vulnerable. All I really want is a big hug. Maybe I'll just take a hot bath and have a big glass of wine. Maybe the pooches will sit on me and lick my face. See Wayward Spouses, you really don't have to have an affair to fulfill your needs. You just have to see to yourself.

I would protect yourself financially. My WH took his retirement bonus of $25,000, and his retirement savings, another $25,000. and blew it all on the OW in a 3 month period. He had promised to give me some of it. He sent me $50.

I'm thinking the guy is going to have to be served as soon as he gets back to the States.

See Wayward Spouses, you really don't have to have an affair to fulfill your needs. This is soooo true. So many WS's have no clue that it would be so easy to refill our LB. Doesn't take much. We dont' ask for the moon and the sky, just basic respect when it all boils down. Poopheads. I hope you find a decent, reliable ride grapegirl. I wonder if WH put the money into an account for the kids college fund or what. Well..spilt milk and all that. {{{{{{{{{{{{grapegirl}}}}}}}}}}}} I know it's not the same, but know I'm thinking of ya.
