About 3 weeks ago we had a fight which excelated He called me a liar in front of kids I took his car keys and said he had to go. The kids were crying we usually never fight in front of them. He followed me out punched the window of the car a few times I left came back 1/2 hr later. Over the next week or two I came to this site read Verbal Abuse books someone suggested and said "This is my life". We have many stresses financial, special needs child, no time together etc. After that fight I felt "I'm done" There are no affairs on my part. I am not leaving to go to another. I am leaving because of the verbal nonsence, and the feeling he gives me that I am less than he. I calmly made my plan (because we have children) and executed it last friday. Wow what a turn around in attitude. Let's go to MC, we need to work on this this is not only me etc. I do not wish to have a who did what, who did more, etc. He just does not get it after 11 years of marriage. He was married before and I think the same things went on. It is not easy but it is peaceful at home, the kids are on a schedule for the 1st time. my son is sleeping in his own bed we have a rountine it is calm. Am I scared to do this on my own Yes but my heart is closed, I a tired and he still continues to "I don't know what I did (I wrote him two letters explaining in detail.... I guess my question is since he is doing nothing different why should i even consider mc.

Isn't MC doing something different?

MC would be doing something different. He wants to find out what "is wrong with me" Feel it necessary for him to counsel with someone on his anger issue and other issue privately (without me) . I am counseling with someone. I asked him to go to mc 2 weeks ago. His response was that he could not do it now because we had just begun financial counseling for his personal credit card debt. Maybe later. Always have been dealing with "his" stuff first and we never seem to be able to get to dealing with "my" stuff, my feeling, my needs. This was not the 1st or the 2nd, or 3rd time I asked him about MC.
