Friend Charlie is taking DS to see WH tomorrow to spend the afternoon. There are two of WH's credit card bills due & the phone bill which I am paying. I also found one of WH's expense checks on the floorboard of my car(ooops, from Sept.) that he would probably want to deposit.
I would like WH to send a check for 1/2 the phone bill & a check for DS's after school care for next week. Is it breaking contact by including a couple of notes or should this be communicated through my friend?
I'd like to stick a note on the expense check to letting WH know I found it under some papers in my car....
Thanks,

Kimberly~
I usually post on the EN board, but follow a couple of stories here, yours being one of them.
I'm curious, why do you want to tell him where you found the check? Perhaps, you too, are trying to get your fix. Why not put everything in one envelope together and send it off to him.

I guess I just want to let him know where he had lost the check.....That I actually found something he will be very happy to get. Perhaps I want to share in some happiness with him no matter how small.
It does sound like a fix that I am trying to get.
I do need to let him know to give me a check for the caregiver. It's his turn to pay this week. He knows its his turn though so maybe I should just leave it up to him to drop the check off & not worry about it????
I normally don't ask him for 1/2 of the bills that I pay, but since he isn't here at the house I am not sure how this is going to work with bill paying. We have separate accounts so we always just kind of split things up.
Thanks for your post!
Kim

Honestly, bills and so forth is something that probably should have been set up in the Plan B letter. It's so easy to use it as an excuse to break contact. I personally don't believe you should write any letter to your dh. That is what your intermediarry (sp?) is for. Allow them to to do it. The only thing that would scare me about childcare is that if he doesn't pay it your provider may not allow your son to attend. This would either leave your without a sitter or financially responsible for all of the childcare. Perhaps a calendar of when certain things are due. Done on the computer completely professional.

I like the calendar idea - I can do that & mark it when it is his turn. I will just hand a packet to the mediator and ask him to give it to WH. I'll leave out any handwritten notes.
