Oh, yes. I can just about do 'Fiendish' in the UK Times. Sometimes we've had all four of us staring into space, locked in our calculations...

Squid is the MASTER of sudoku. Must be a form or karate !

I am a crossword bloke myself, but Squids taught me the techniques and I'm getting better at them !

Oddly enough, my father gave me a Sudoku book to work through about a week after D-Day. It does take your mind off things quite nicely, but you end up talking to yourself too. Or perhaps that's just me.

Oh yessss!
I love it. I am incapable of doing crosswords, but I can finish a Sudoku, which makes it more appealing.

it sounds silly, but I introduced H to them and now he is doing the as well. It has sort of given us a common ground, something that we both enjoy and get a bit competitive about, an inside joke.

Might Sudoku be the road to recovery????

Tis possible. WW's comment was that her Father does Sudoku, and was perhaps, therefore, a positive step.

Love them..

but my 6 year old picked up one of those three-D puzzles from the salvation army store this weekend...

why is it when dropping off donations it is impossible not to leave with something...

no directions...
I am obsessed with it...
as is he..
we spend hours in the evening laying on the floor in his bedroom...trying to build some castle.......

I even yelled at Mr. Ark for having the nerve to clean it up on Sunday while I was at work......

3-D puzzles without instructions suck

Sorry...these have been in MATH PUZZLE BOOKS by DELL for years..under a different name....

They are fun, though, and get me into "THE FLOW"...away from troubling thoughts...

More problemmatic for me is that I can't get past LEVEL 5 on TUMBLEBUGS....
