Fantastic song touched my heart this morning. In case it touches any of you, here it is:
"fix you" by Coldplay
When you try your best but you don't succeed When you get what you want but not what you need When you feel so tired but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones I will try to fix you

Kind of reminds me of "Everybody Hurts" by REM. Like they got under your skin and totally understand what you're going through. TT

Just so TT.
An aside - When my Mom died we had a very strange situation between my brother, my sister and myself.
"sweetness follows" on '"Automatic for the people" EXACTLY describes this - written by an only-child gay man from Georgia. Increadible insight. Still gives me chills.

The Coldplay song was written by Chris Martin for his wife Gweneth Paltrow after the death of her father. It is a very "sweet" song indeed.

Hey, Bob... FYI, Michael Stipe has a sister, Linda, and she's musical, too. She was in a band called Flash to Bang Time, and I don't know if they're still together or not. Just a little Athens trivia for you.
I LOVE how certain songs can really speak to you when you need it. For example, when I got back into the car after my first IC appointment, "Linger" by the Cranberries was playing.

Fantastic song touched my heart this morning. I received that ColdPlay CD via the mail very shortly after D-Day. After hearing that tune, tears were streaming down MY face. Even now, several months later, hearing the song brings a tear to my eye.
