My family and I are trying to help my brother. He wasnt married to his girlfriend of 8yrs. They have a 2.5 yr old son. She just up and left my brother this past weekend took everything he worked for. He just bought everything new and she took it. He told her certain things that she could have. She moved into an apartment in a VERY bad neighborhood. She is on all sorts of drugs. My brother is just so sick to his stomach right now. There is a boyfriend in the picture and she just got out of rehab. Are there any good websites for fathers rights and for unmarried couples. She wont let him see his child. We are just very curious. We are trying to help him out as much as we can. He's been helping me through my M and i'd like to help him too. Please anyone! this might help we live in Pennsylvania

Hi one_dayat_time,

That is a sad situation there. I know this is a marriage
site. But I can give a little of advice.

Tell your brother to get to the Family Court House and file for visitation/custody of his son now... today!!....or Monday.

He needs to list on the filing papers wheather he wants custody or visitation. And he needs to list of her drug use.

If you and he feel that the son is in danger, and the mother is still using drugs, you should call Child Protective Services immediately

Summary He needs to do these things....quickly!!!

1. Call CPS if child is in danger, or if mother is still using drugs, or if the boyfriend is using drugs.

2. Get to Family Court and file for custody/visitation.
The people/advocates there will help him fill out the paperwork etc....If he cannot afford a lawyer, they will appoint one for him. He will have to fill out paper work for that also. If he makes too much money, but cannot afford a lawyer, tell him to represent himself and son.

I hope the best for them,

Lady

Lady,

thank you very much for the advice. I will give it to him when he comes back. She brought his son over to see him right now he is here with me bc they are talking and he doesnt need to hear them fighting. I have been looking all morning on the net and calling places to try and help him out the best i can. I just feel for him right now. THere was no warning she just up and left. Spent EVERYTHING he is 3 months behind on all his bills. SHe has been spending nights away for unexplained reasons. The only reason why i posted here was i know this gets more viewings etc... Thank you again once again when i see him i will tell him what you said! Thanks
