Here's a link to a post you might find interesting and possibly thought provoking. You may find the short movie clip very revealing....then again, you might already know....

I found it very good, and disturbing, all at once. Thank you, LORD, for providing a "way out."

Walk the path....or....the devil made me do it.

Compelling, FH.

So many will never realize this until it is too late. That they have been duped. That their life was a lie.

And the presentation was right...there will be few that will be reached. That wont change. But I will pray for that one in 3,422.

I just thank the Lord that I am one of those!

In His arms.

I just watched this.

It brought me to tears. I never have wavered from my believe in Our Lord and my faith in him. There have been days when I have wondered what his plan is but who am I to question it.

I see by watching this that my H has walked away from his faith in the Lord. I pray he will someday walk back into the light and Love that Jesus has for all of us.

Now is the time for me not to question anymore, its time to let him do his bidding. I have to stand aside and let God take the reins and do his will.....

Thank you for both of these links. May God Bless everyone and help all of us overcome this evil.....

Dear Ladysheep and Ark,
Thank you for the links to these moving, short clips. They touched me deeply as I watched.
I have e-mailed my husband them. My husband has always been raised in the church, and since the death of his father, sister, failing health of his mother, and finally his EA, he has lost faith in Jesus.
Hopefully, these might help him to find his way back to the lord.

Thanks again,

K.D.'s Heartbreak

Mortarman, what I find so intriguing is how many have "viewed" the post on all 3 forums that it was posted (perhaps even viewed the "interview") and how few have posted any response or comments.

I even linked it to the "Timely Story" thread and there have been NO new comments on that thread. Seems like a whole "different" set of folks from when the thread first began.

The additional links provided here have been equally great, but again, very few comments. Makes one really wonder at times.....

God bless.

Foreverhers,

I viewed the Interview and was very moved. In turn forwarded it to everyone in my address book. Only hope WH watches all the way thru.
Thank you for posting that. I value your opinion and your comments. I dont post a lot, but I have done extensive reading on here. I am going to post a new thread about my situation and would value yours and Mortarmans thoughts.

Thanks again,
Katiegirl

I though the statistics were mind boggling. I picked up on the ones of infidelity more than any other, but they were staggering.

It is very sad. The day I went to be tested for STDs, the OB/Gyn said I was the 3rd wife that week to be tested due to infidelity.

My IC is a christian, and we talked about that. It is amazing how many Christian families are dealing with infidelity.

It is a sad state of affairs.

ForeverHers,

Now that you mention it, I watched it and thought "to be forewarned is to be forearmed."

My H (who was the WH) watched it, and he said, "an interview with the devil, yuck!"

Later this afternoon, he said he wants us both to stay on the same path. The narrow.

Forever, who wants to speak of the devil? Maybe that could be why noone responded. I know that even through the past few days coming into recovery, the battles from Satan have been huge, he hates me and my H being back together, but we have the victory, one battle at a time. Every marriage that can understand spiritual things needs to realize that satan hates the God given covenant of marriage and will do anything to destroy it. I would advise all marriages to have many, and I mean many praying, even through recovery.

I'm sure many were stunned by the interview, not knowing what to say, or simply not understanding it.

But know we watched it, and understood it clearly.

You know Lady, I told my husband that very thing last night. satan puts these awful thoughts in my head. He knows what triggers me and makes sure I get triggered often. Have you read Captivating? It is a book on being a woman and how God wants so much for us and satan wants to destroy that.

MF, No I haven't heard of the book until you mentioned it. I will see if it's at our library here. Who is the author?

The same thing has been happening to me. The thoughts!!

Last night I told my H the thoughts I was having, he was glad I told him, and he literally put his hands on my head and prayed for me! He has never done this in our whole marriage, until now. Earlier this week I threw him out for a few days due to a lot of bad thoughts, anger, etc... When I threw him out, I told him "no man will touch me again unless he is a godly man!" (Well, he told me today that that really got to him when I said that.) He went and stayed with a minister friend for a few days, and he came home EMPOWERED!!
He taught my H alot and my H came home praying and warring bigtime, and I am thankfully seeing amazing results.

Love and Prayers MF,

MF, I forgot to mention one thing...when I threw him out, I didn't care where he was going...whatever. He had his suitcase in hand, and no car because I needed the car because the baby was sick. So here I am in my robe outside, H trying to take the car. And I wouldn't let him.
So walking down the road he went, rolling the suitcase along with him.

Well I guess he went and called the pastor, pastor told him to call the minister, and he stayed with him. I'm so glad I threw him out that day!

***I wouldn't advise everyone to throw thier WS out the way I did*** But it turned out for our good.

Lady,

I know it is not funny, but it did make me smile to think of your husband rolling his suitcase away from home. Not a funny smile, I guess it is hard to say how I smiled. It was just quite a picture I imagined.

I'm glad that is paid off and you can see a difference in him now.

Captivating was written my John and Stasi Eldredge. He also wrote a book for men called Wild at Heart. They talk about how God created men and women different but designed us to go together.

Forever, who wants to speak of the devil?

ladysheep - Not many people, that's why he gets to "Roam" so freely. Or maybe it's just that most people are "me" oriented and want to be on the "throne" themselves. Satan will "let them" live in that delusion and "do their own thing," because "their own thing" won't be "God's thing" anyway.

But Satan is the great deceiver and he will try everything from being "nice" to being "forceful and ugly" to keep someone from God or to separate them from God as he did with Eve. Now we DO know "good and evil," "right and wrong," "just as God does." So Satan even uses that "knowledge" to continue his lies designed to keep us crippled and separated from God....only now he tries to use GUILT. We are NOT "good enough," we "failed," we sinned "so badly" that no one could forgive us, we are so "Righteous" that we can't forgive someone (much less live with them in 'holy' matrimony) who has sinned against us.... the list of lies goes on and on and on.

To those who "surrender" to God....they know the truth of God's love and God's faithfulness to ALL of His promises....they learn what the "armor" is that they need to "put on." The reality is that very few of us will enter heaven with no "scars." The "battle" IS for our souls, and battles are often bloody and scarring....and often necessary. But the "lessons learned," and the peace that is our "Hope," KNOWS that this scarred catepillar will one day have a new and glorious body...with NO imperfections or scars and that our "time" in the "war" IS short by comparison.

God bless.

Thankyou for telling me of these books. I hope they are at the library.

I love my H, always will. I think I am over the worst of the hurt, I hope! Forgiving him right away did not come easy for me.
Husband and I were very close and very much in love, this about did us in. How I want so much for that to happen again. I only hope there will be no more "triggers" At least we are learning how to handle them when they come, instead of letting them get the best of us, whether from satan or from the flesh.

MF, what do you do when the triggers come? When you tell your H of the thoughts, what does he say and do?
