I am a good and loving person.
I love my country although I do not support the current administration.
I believe that this country was founded on religious freedom for a very important reason! So that the religious zelots of any one faith would not impose their ways on everyone, such as we see in other countries! However many Christians in our country do not believe that GOD can mean different things to different people.
Thus the word God has unfortunately become devisive. That is sad. I have fought very hard for my family and my marriage and succeeded. I have drawn strength and guidance from my beliefs.
I am also not a christian.
Recently I have become very disheartened and frightend that the religious zealots of one particular faith have deemed me unwelcome in my own country. I was born here, I have enjoyed the freedom and right that came with that to develop and practice my own personal belief system. Because it does not agree with your own....where do you suggest I go?
Has this country become so unwelcoming to those of us who are not christian that we are no better than countries ruled by an extremely judgemental, controlling and religious regime that will not accept nor tolerate their own citizens who happen to have another belief system?
That is sad.
