LOL, this post above is so funny I spit out my sprite reading....Ain't that the truth P-band.......More labeling here, but I imagine in Ms Lane's neck of the woods, the "too/teef" ratio is at least 2 standard deviations above the mean.

I love looking at the tatoos of old girlfriends done over....I once saw a tattoo with "Karen" in a heart and then done over with "Katie".....made me LMAO.

You know though, a transplant cardiologist friend of mine had a patient of his tattoo his name on his arm, after the guy got a new heart.....I guess I know that I made it when that happens...

You Guys are a riot I needed a little pick me up after a 60 hour work week coming to an end. Still may have more hours to do before the weekend end. Like the lemonman I am also in the health profession and am constantly being called o work. But the funny thing is if you love what you do then it isn't really work at all. Time flies when you are having fun. And it keeps the brain occupied from concentrating on the mess that WH is making but oh well.
Good news is things are good I am recovering and can't wait for the final papers to show up.
I now have a good picture of lemon man now and he is no where near as i pictured him. I kinda saw him in my head as an older fellow much older then his tender age. and more of the siut and tie type maybe his top was to tight, Straight laced and all business like. I really enjoy his post because he gets to the meat of he problem and doesn't mince words about it. Lemonman has added clarity to my confusing world and I appreciate honesty and forthrightness cannot be praised enough.

What is wrong with labels, ya silly yooper???

Now Mellybelly, I do believe "ya silly yooper" would be a label...and labels just aren't nice.

Does "nice" mean anything to you crazy Texans????...or not.

If you want "nice," talk to your momma!

You don't do what I do and not be a little "weird", but outside of the usual dysfunctions of a doctor who doesn't sleep enough and drinks too much coffee, I am ok. Not that much off kilter.

I say that I have the best job in the world. I love what I do (admittedly, I am probably a work-a-holic) and get paid very well to do it. Dealing with "innards" pays well you know...

Lem

Well, thank the good Lord there are people like you who will touch guts and fix a person right up. Because Lord knows I could never do it. Guess I had better stick to selling soft drinks. Now, that is an extremely fun job!

And I fear we do have a high toof to tattoo ratio out here, dental care is not high on the priority list in this neck of the woods. It is way down on the list below shinin' for hawgs.

Thanks lemonman..............

We did a post on the old boards where people posted what they believed people looked like...

I was pegged as a mary tyler moore look alike which couldn't be farther from the truth..

being a scottish-irish lass with some slovian thrown in...(someone might have to explain to melody what and where Scottland and Ireland are/is)
I share no characteristics with mary tyler moore

a curly haired red head I am.....
only five foot one......
and have never accessorized like she...

not as big like an ark as my name implies...

I am a part-time administrator at a city neighborhood hospital affiliated with a huge health system that has taken over the city and university...we don't handle the trauma cases..the mother ship gets them..but if the OR needs called in..they call me to do so........

My love and my joy is with rehab...especially post traumatic brain injuries.......
nothing like two months with someone with a full frontal lobe injury..they keep you hopping and keep things interesting

I loathe how computer systems have taken priority of direct hands on care for the nurses....and how little nursing resembles today what it was when I started as a mere 20 year old on cancer unit....

I just turned the 40 which hasn't gone over real well inside of me.......since I feel about 12...and act it..

when I run at the y in the mornings on the treadmill after sending the kids off..I over and over perform the sin that will place me in to pergurtory....if not he## itself...

I listen to the howard stern show and laugh my behind off......
he is a chauvanistic, rude, politically incorrect, potentially damaging foul mouthed idiot...
and I tune in each day and laugh and laugh and laugh...and tune out all the other moms complaining about the PTA and the thirty minute treadmill rule and who stayed on longer this week.......

I have no excuse except that it makes me laugh....
but it is sooo wrong...

you have made it clear to me that what must be in my living will from this day forward...

NO COUNTRY MUSIC ALLOWED IF I AM PUT UNDER!!!!!!!!!

steely dan....paul simon....ofcourse the Boss....
but if someone were to put on bubba shot the juke box or tequilia makes her clothes fall off...
I'm waking up.............

have a safe weekend..

ARK^^ fess up... your favorite doo-rag?? chile peppers...?

I'd love to join your little gang but, sadly, I haven't a clue on a few things. In HK, a Dove bar is a bar of soap; what is a Trojan and why on earth would anyone who is well-endowed wear a Wonderbra? Aren't they for the ones who need help? TT

tt,

I'll attempt to translate.

A Dove Bar is an ice cream bar covered in Dove chocolate. They also make chocolate candy bars, but they're less common.

Trojan makes condoms.

And I have NO clue on the Wonderbra question, as I'm only getting well endowed on the other end.

ark,

That just somehow seems scary. Maybe it's because I'm thinking of some extremely chesty friends of mine. I have this vision of enormous busts preceding their owners by a good foot or two.

Hey Dr. Lemonman,

When I am not writing novels I am an eMTee (medical transcriptionist.) Do you ever have to dictate your surgical or ER reports?

I type for several pain management docs and PAs at an outpatient clinic, so once I learned to spell "Methadone" and "epidural steroid injection" it was pretty much okay from there.

Ark keeps saying "it's ALL good"

This is strongly familiar to some of us here.

Where did you learn this Ark?

Yes, I dictate all of the time, and have received emails from the trnascription department that several trascriptionists complain that I speak too fast. I have alot of respect for medical trascriptionsists, as they have to try and type what we "want to say" even if we are not saying it correctly. I don't know how you are able to type coherently what we dictate. I would be a terrible transcripionst and no doubt would get canned if that was my job.

lemonman..

you should know I am really thinking about my living will...

if I was having plastic surgery done..ie read endowments done...

I would want the KINKS or the artist formerly known as Prince who we are now allowed to call Prince playing...

they both have some catchy tunes...which might inspire brilliance....
