Have been doing quite a bit of cleaning & decluttering today. Was just upstairs in the bathroom where WS's wedding ring has been sitting for the past 6 weeks. It was sitting in a little decorative plate with some of his business cards. I decided that I didn't want the plate in there anymore. Can't decide what to do with his ring.
WH still comes in & out of the house so he may or may not go into our bathroom.
I know. I am in Plan B. Don't think about WH and what he will think. I should just do with it what I wish. I might tuck it away in a little box & put it in his drawer....

Tuck it away in a safe place. Far from where the WS might scrounge for it. Then let him wonder where it went. Betcha he will be biting at the bit to ask but won't. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Personally, I would have it melted down and make a little pendant for you or something. Or just pawn it and leave the pawn ticket where the ring used to be since you are in plan B. If things get worked out, you will probably want to buy a new ring anyway. My FWW lost part of her ring way before the A and never has been replaced. I am going to buy her a new ring now but it will be very simple, just a gold band with no diamonds and an inscription on the inside. If she still had her original ring, that would be one of the first things to go for me.

When my W and I were in the process of wedding ring shopping, we joked about getting "Put your ring back on!" inscribed in our rings.
It seems less funny now that her ring is sitting in its box over there on the bookshelf. I'm really tempted to go get her ring inscribed with that message, then give it back to her.... Hmmm, that probably wouldn't accomplish anything.

It was important to my FWH to to put his ring back on again. He did this on his own...
There has not been a day yet that he has not put it on in TWO FULL YEARS or more since our RECOVERY began...
Put the ring away for safekeeping....
Don't destroy it....
It means more than you can or need to comprehend at this point...
