P.S. Pep, just wanted to tell you that your "vessel" analogy a few months back lead me to places that I never thought of before. Thank you for it.

The title scared me a bit, Pep...my first thought was "So she's gone off the deep end and Mr. Pep signed her over..."

She HAS gone off the deep end, but Mr. Pep luvs her that way. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Wish I could remember the vessel analogy. I know my brain is around here somewhere. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Yep...Really.

It was in my mind for days. It also gave me warm fuzzies as far as my relationship with my Guy. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Susan,

Let me see if I can describe it accurately.

I am not sure that I have always been as "receptive" as I could be to Love that is offered freely to me. I KNEW that I was loved...I'm not sure if I had ever measured or completely envisioned that Love in a measurable way. I never "saw" it within me as something that I receive. I always saw it as something that I "give".

It was so nice to "see" it like Pep described it. It was nice to envision opening myself up to it...accepting it...receiving it...and being satiated by it.

I finally saw in order to give Love to the highest degree I have to accept Love to the Highest Degree and that I have that capacity. It placed me at a place where I am completely open to receiving all the Love there is to offer me...without the need to protect myself from that Love. It is being offered up just for the taking.

It is a great feeling to know that I have that ability..and that is how it is meant to be...as a woman.

I hope that wasn't too windy...and made a little bit of sense.

oh yes, the *willing vessel*

Not too windy at all...and very well stated. Thank you for that.

This is something I hold near and dear to my heart .... the book Passionate Marriage helped me visualize myself as a vessel ...

in the words of Schnarch

"It isn't what you do, it's the way you do it"

.... and hunny .... the MAN can tell the difference ... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

... and it's a gift on any MAN's wish list ~~~> REALLY pleasure his woman <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ... and I make dayum certain Mr Pep knows how much I LIKE IT <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

... and here we are in our 50's ... embarrassing our children with our obvious hots for each other ... and I can see this only growing as a deeper passion between us !!!!! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Dont you love it when your adult kids in a very annoyed manner tell you "Get a room you two" lol
p.s. we did.... little Mikey is probably glad of that too. hehehe

Ooops think of him and look what happens.....
mummy .... feeding time! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

This is a book that I will definitely be purchasing this weekend.

Thank you again for placing that analog on a thread. It might as well had my name on it, it was meant for me.

LOL! I just tell my parents "Your CHILD is in the room!!"
of course, meaning me. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The truth is, I'm always very glad to see my parents so happy. I only hope I'll have a marriage that's the same after that long.

It's a great book ... but slow reading (reads like a textbook)... and don't be surprised if you get confused... but press on
