I am wondering if it is possible for an adult to have something in their past...such as behavior that at the time would have jeopardized their relationship...that they never told about...and now 20 years later...supposedly... cannot "remember"?

If this is possible...is their any hope of bringing that memory back?

Hypothetical...wife has emotional affair with another man. Years later...the marriage has problems...and the roots are in the emotional affair of the past...but...she claims that she can't "remember" it.

I'm sure it's both possible and probable. People "forget" items of importance all the time. I"m sure the hypothetical wife remembers deep down what she did. It is also possible that the "wife" remembers all to clearly, and is lying to the H. A lie to protect another, is still a lie, and will hurt the person in the long run.
