Yes, after more than one year separated, after one year since filing (him both times) for the second time, two years after "reconciliation" & several months of torture I just may be divorced as soon as Tues. Nov. 22nd!

We have a court date & the divorce SHOULD be granted that day. I'd like to see a last minute settlement, but I'll have to wait on pins & needles over the next few days to see if it happens.

Please send kind thoughts & good wishes my (& my children's) way that this will go smoothly & along the lines the judge suggested at the pretrial.

Good luck! My WH moved out 5 years ago, I filed 4.5 years ago with a restraining order, NC 3.5 years, yet still not divorced... I never thought I'd be looking forward to the day, but now I am, so I know how you feel.

Nams~~

I cannot imagine the torture of waiting that long for a divorce to be final. [and you too LetSTry]
From the time I filed, to finalization, it was a little over 6 mos. That was long enough for me.
It was a relief when it finally happened, and new beginning in my life.

Positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way for you and your kids.

Karona

[color:"blue"]Nams,

Best of thoughts and good wishes to you and your children. The clock is ticking and settlement in the hallway or on the steps of the courthouse on trial day is extrememly likely. Most cases never go to trial. Be firm in what you want and know what you can ask for.

I filed in early May, was final the following late June. I pushed DH the whole way.

Good thoughts NAMS. The actual date will likely be a let down, as the agony of the past can't be erased in a single day.

Thanks All! I appreciate all the good wishes.

As I was shopping in Target this morning my lawyer called to say stbx wants to schedule a meeting today @ 3:30 with the two attys & the two of us. I'd like to avoid that but if it's got to be done so be it.

My lawyer has done an excelent job with the numbers. He's presented several scenarios that maximize the money to both of us, put both of us in lower tax brackets & is very much in keeping with what the judge suggested at the pre-trial which was quite favorable to me.

I'm going to a singles dance with a friend tonight. I bought new pants & a new flirting, sexyish top to go with them. So usually not me but I've stepped out of the box on this & feel good. Several ladies in the store admired the outfit so I'm ready.

I'll stop back in with any news.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts & wishes for me & my boys.
