OK, try to keep this short and to the point:
A very good friend of mine suspected his live in GF was having an affair with OM. I, told him how to snoop on her with a voice recorder on tel line, etc.(gee, wonder where I got that info!) So, he listens and finds she's meeting OP a couple of blocks away, and decides to drive over there(in his company truck) and finds her with him in his car. He then proceeds to drag OM from car and beat the sh-- out of him.(all you BS better wipe that grin off your face <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) In the meantime, a neighbor calls the police and reports what is going on and my friend took off and is now in deep shi-. I seem to have this foot in mouth disease and should have known better than the advise I gave him about snooping. My question is, how or what do I tell him now that he is in trouble with the law? I don't feel that the relationship he has with his GF is, in any way, worth the trouble or effort it would take to salvage it, as she has many emotional problems that may never be solved. This may be a little OT, but I've come rely on this forum as a wonderful place of level headed thinking in the face of insanity. Could you offer me some advise so I don't put my foot in mouth again? Thanks, Jerry

I hope you do not get charged as an accessory to assault or as a co-conspirator. Just kidding.
Your friend better remove that recorder and never divulge that he illegally tapped her phone line or he could be up for additional charges.

Also...perhaps you should consider limiting your snooping advice to only married couples where a lot more is at stake. Most BH do not respond this way because they have a lot more invested in the relationship with their wives and A LOT more to lose. Especially if children are involved.

Yeah, I feel really bad about this one. BTW the house and phone line is his, not hers. I guess this is very OT for this forum but, I don't know who else to turn to at this time. It sort of a reflection of my own sitch, which truly has no resolution. Would that I could reside elsewhere!! Oh well, I'm sure no one took much notice to my story. It's so old now, I don't think I could even find it! Well, I guess we all never completely heal. I'm so very happy for those who do. All Blessings, Jerry

Shine I am so sorry your friend got into trouble. But you are not responsible for his actions. The one thing I always caution others -like my sons- do not loose your temper. You will go to jail ect.
