Did anyone catch the remake of the Posiedon Adventure on teewee last night? The original was sooo much better.

Anywho...I couldn't help but think of all the cheering MBer's as the OW fell to her death in the pit of fire. Maybe there was a message there huh?

No I didn't see it.I am not a fan of remakes of movies I really enjoy( i.e. did not see the new Wonka film with Depp or Psycho, etc).

I don't recall any OW in the original film. What did I forget? I am trying to remember all the characters and don't see an OW.Remind me?

O

I believe, in the original it was Stella Stevens (Mrs. Rogo) that fell into the flames. Her character was a former prostitute, married to Ernest Borgnine (Detective Rogo) who quipped that he used to arrest her just to keep her off the streets until he could figure out a way to get her to marry him. I guess she was an OW of sorts too.

Gadz...

I saw that came on, and quickly dove for the remote and watched some other mindless drivel instead...

The original was s2pid enough. Why make a remake? At least Titanic had the ship breaking apart.

You don't 2rn big ships over without dropping the engines through the skylights and stuff...

I couldn't get in2 something so absurd.

Ogirl, actually the new Wonka film beats the old one hands down. It was enjoyable and magical. I truly enjoyed it and I have always been a fan of the original.

ba,

I guess I didn't really think of Rogo's new (former prostitute) wife as an OW.I felt she was "reformed" and was respectable since she married.Who knows for sure.lol

FF,

I don't know if I could go to see the new Willy Wonka film.I like Johnny Depp but I feel like I would be betraying my sense of loyalty to the original.Isn't that weird?

Maybe one day.I haven't seen the new Psycho, the new War of the Worlds, the new Poseidon BUT,I think I might see the remake of King Kong coming up.I saw a preview yesterday and it looks gooood. The one with Jessica Lang and Jeff Bridges, although not popular with the critics at the time,I LOVED.

personally, I think Rogo had white knight syndrome. Probably not uncommon in cops.

See the movie, O...it was great.
