My wonderful mom and dad are up visiting with us at the moment. We are having a great time together.

My dad loves to feel useful. Today he took himself off to the supermarket to buy me some groceries - he's so generous, bless him.

Whilst he was there he almost bumped into - DA DA DAAAA!!! STBX and OW!!!

Dad said that STBX had obviously seen him first and was walking away from him pretty darn fast, pulling OW with him, who seemed not to quite understand what was going on!

What a total coward my STBX is. Fancy running away like a little mouse from a man who is nearly 70 years old.

I think it is hilarious.

Dad said that they both looked pretty miserable and grouchy. He said that the OW was large – nearly as tall as STBX, ugly and ungainly, and had a fat backside.

He said that STBX wasn't looking too great, either. He's certainly put back on the weight he lost after he 'miraculously' stopped drinking after leaving me. Guess the OW wasn't the alcoholic's cure-all he'd hoped for.

When I think of them together, my feelings are more and more those of mere slight distaste and, yes, amusement. I can’t get the image of them running away from my elderly father out of my mind. As if they were actually so important that my dad would take a pop at STBX in a supermarket! What a pair of egos.

I can’t believe I used to respect this man, my STBX. He’ll never have half the strength, courage and dignity of my father.

Alph.

That's actually quite a funny story, Alph.

The last mom saw my WH was last Mon and she said he looked normal. He put back the weight he lost. So I guess eating huney has made him look pretty ok.

As for WS running/ avoiding people.. mine has been doing that since D-Day!

My WH is a complete and total ball-less wonder. A conflict avoider extraordinaire. He nearly ran over OS with his car when we caught WH with slimeball OW. I'm sure she really appreciated the way he cut and ran also. He really got a lot of points with his kids on that one.

I think being a cowardly mouse goes with the WS territory.

Alph,

That is funny.I got a chuckle out of it.How can ugliness show it's face? They can run but they can't hide.

Something similar happened to me too.Only the homewrecker wasn't around but on Halloween,my STBXWH was here to pick up my youngest to go trick-or-treating.She asked me to come out and talk to Daddy about "plans",so I did, reluctantly.Anyway,we were no sooner done "talking" then the old severely sick WH I knew from the early days appeared and he practicially ran off looking back at me like I was about to hit him or something. I was thinking,"Wow,this feels so bizarre." Deja vu. Same exact look I got when I dropped him off at the airport after the first weekend at home with me where he knew he was cheating but never told me.

Still can't stand to face eachother.

O

Definitely a Mouse.

My WxH is afraid of my deceased mother. She passsed away 5 years ago at 77.

In past conversation I had with them, he will bring her up and said that how she would have beaten him up and had every picture of him burned if she was still alive.

Why would he bring her up, because he knew if she was still alive, she would do everything in her power to defend her little girl. Just like your father would do for you.

Physically the WHs could take on our older parents , mentally its the fear and the guilt that has him running. Cowards.
