Hey, I called today and and I have an appointment tomorrow.....I was told a web address where I am to go to and fill out a LB inventory......I was shaking when I was talking to them (just really nervous and all) that I wrote the web page link down wrong <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />....I've been calling overther to MB but have not been able to talk to anyone.....

Daisy- I don't have the link right in front of me. I do have some advice for you.
1) Tell them first thing your MB site name and personal thread. Steve told me he would read it to bring himself up to speed in order to maximize your time.
2) Get a note pad and take all kinds of notes. They will give you quotes and statements to use in conversation.
3) Record the phone call if at all possible. There is so much said, in one hour that it is tough to diegest..

Hi, Daisy. Radioshack sells a great little doohicky for about $10. It's a little splitter that goes between the body of the phone and the receiver. It can only work for corded phones, and you need a tape recorder with a mic jack. You will get a recording that is as clear as a bell. I used to be a reporter and used one when I did phone interviews. Nifty little gadget.

How odd, I have an appointment with SH tomorrow also. This will be my third appointment.

Before my first appointment, I sent Steve a brief email with pertient information. It gave him a little bit to work off of.

Steve is very easy to talk to. He is very matter-of-fact and to the point. He did ask me my board name. He'll ask you how you are doing, mentally and physically.

It is extremely important to have a pad of paper and pencil with you. It's good to take notes. If you plan to record your session, it would be polite to ask Steve before you do it. Personally, I think writing is better. It's like taking notes in class. The pen to paper thing reinforces and help you to process what you learn. I have often gone back to look at my notes. I wouldn't want to replay a tape. I'd probably start second guessing myself about why I didn't ask some questions or how stupid or whiney I might have sounded.

I am very apprehensive about my appointment tomorrow. This is kind of my "rebuttal" round. Steve talk to WH before Thanksgiving. We will do this session having WH's perspective. It should be interesting. I had hoped that talking to Steve might thin the fog. Since then WH has made one request about the DD but he didn't call her about it. On Thanksgiving, he did not contact any of his children. Didn't even call the ones who have their own cellphones. I feel very unsettled.

I did go to the electronic store (no radioshack up here in Canada) but they have all this fancy stuff and then I only have a cordless phone (as H took the other) and it is kind of old. Anyway, had a nice chat with the sales guy...he actually offered me his personal phone and recorder <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> (said he does not use it anymore)....I did not accept of course, but it was nice to get some attention.... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I did buy some recorder but now it does seem kind of odd to hold it and the phone and a pen at the same time (did I mention I only have 2 hands <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)....

well...I've played with the recorder....gave me something to do...kind of fun all these gadgets...who knew <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />???

Feeling ok today. Had a nice relaxing evening last night <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />. I did speak to H last night for a few minutes....kind of just to let him know that yes I am still out here alive and kicking....don't know if he cares.

I have dreamt about H 3 nights in a row....must be the stress. Now, I dreamt that we were back together and that I decided to take English lessons for improve this R <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> (H was always critical of my english ~ it really is not bad at all (ok, just the spelling <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />) ...I have lived out in the English speaking world for some time now ~ but he would just pick and pick just to pick at something <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />......) Steve is a really easy guy to talk to and will give you lots of information so be prepared to do lots of writing.
