I am feeling better than I have in SUCH a long time, and I don't know WHY! Go figure!
My H decided not to be involved in any closure letter with the OM, but I wrote a short version where I said things like, "we used to say never say never about our relationship. Now I say instead, 'NEVER'". I emailed it and told him that it was the last personal-type email I would ever send him. Then I copied it and brought it home so my H could read it if he chose to. He says he doesn't want to, but I have it anyway. The OM is upset (big whoop, big deal) because I think he held on to some romantic idea that we would be together one day, even though it has been over for 3 months. I KNEW I had to do something tangible to prove that I meant business by ending it - which I DID.
As many of you know, there have been good days and bad with my H and me. So what? There were good days and bad before infidelity entered our lives, and there will be more of them as we go on throughout our lives.
I'm in such a good place right now. I don't care what happens as long as my H and I make it together somehow.
I have nothing profound to add... just wanted to share some happiness. Lately, I have been a bit of a downer (THANKS ALOT AIRHEART FOR POINTING THAT OUT!). But underneath it all, I am an optomist at heart [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
------------------
Marriage: the most important contract you'll ever enter into, and the most sacred.
New Beginning,
You said you were voted most humorous and was usually upbeat?
I love to laugh and be happy, too. I mean I know everyone does, but I hate feeling sad. I don't like to see any movies but comedies because I can't stand taking on other people's problems when they aren't even real and sad movies bother me for days. Some people like a good cry. I hate it.
Anyway...if you are like me, feeling down in and of itself can make you feel worse. Sometimes it helps me to remember that.
------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
