You guys know my story, if not you can look under my name "mlhb" and there be all my posts. My posts of recent say where I am at right now....
WH leaves in January for Iraq. I have seen some "different" behavior lately, being more easy to get along with, spending more time with the kids (as opposed to NO time with them) etc... Do you guys think his 4 months away from OW while in Iraq will help him to let go of her?? I am sure she will write him, etc, she will keep in touch. But so will me and my kids EVERDAY, most importantly the kids. He is supposed to find his own apt when he gets back. I just wonder if absence will make his heart grow fonder FOR HER instead of for us. Or if it will help to let her go......
Any thoughts??? mlhb

Susan, he is with the Air National Guard, part time military. His unit is going over as civil engineers, he is a firefighter. He will be on a base doing I do not know what. I assume he will be carrying a weapon. anyway, he will only be gone 4 months. They volunteer to go over so they don't get called up to go over for the longer periods. The other units that have gone have been back in the 4 months. I know he is scared just the same as he has NEVER done anything like this before. I am not sure why he even signed up for the guards. He has told me before he doesn't know why either. He says he was tring to keep busy to escape problems. Then he says he wanted to firemen training as well. He said he doesn't even really like going to guards and he knew when he signed up his time would come to go to war. I think he did it as an escape and because his good friend did it.
