Heat pump has gone out. Last night it was 25 degrees. Tonight we may see 20. Took children to x's parents at their invitation. It's about 60 in my house right now.

That sucker, as far as I can see, is frozen over. May be the compressor. May be something else. It's 17 year old or so. And has been rebuilt - about 4 or 5 years ago.

Pray hard. I don't need this. I just don't need a bill like this at this time.

Thinking of you Cinderella!
I really feel for you. It's been in the teens and low 20's at night here too, and I can't imagine being without heat.

Sending good thoughts your way that "it" fixed itself, and you don't have a huge bill hanging over your head.

Well, it's in the 70's where I am, if I flap my arms, will some of the warmth flow your way?? If it would, I'd be happy to do that for ya!

I woke up this morning & got a call to sub. I start the shower wait for hot water...wait for hot water...wait for hot water...Nada.

Check the oil level...Nada.

I call the oil co. who I've had auto. delivery with for about 16 years. They say that auto delivery was canceled in Aug. by very STBX. I'm thinking that passive agressive x#*#! I text message very STBX, he says sorry he forgot to mention it...I think YOU STUPID PASSIVE AGRESSIVE #*#* but then he tells me he will give me money to help pay for the oil & the possibility the furnace might need to be fixed as a result of running out of oil...

I went to check oil level, it's full & the furnace is running. But, I see a leak coming from the furnace AND a leak coming from the waste pipe.

Santa, I want a handy man for Christmas please. He doesn't have to be hot, just kind & sweet & have the ability to fix stuff. PLEEEEASE Santa...I promise I've been good.

Hey, I know what you mean. I want a handyman for Christmas too.

Ran three space heaters. Sent Children to their grandparents. House didn't freeze up.

Repair man left a few minutes ago. Thanks for the prayers and warm air. I got the best Christmas presnt this year so far. He switched the breaker back and forth. Told me the condensor fan motor is failing and the sequencer was only bringing on one strip of heat. But it is working now. And it only cost $105. Could have been heat pump death. I am happy!

But someone has taken a bat or something to my mailbox and beaten it to smithereens. Second time I've replaced it in 6 months.

Okay gals, I have heat AND hot water. I'm just bummin' because it's the holiday season and I'm lonely and other things are really stinking right now.

You're all invited to the frigid midwest to stay with me. I promise hot showers and a toasty house. You just have to like dogs and a one-eyed cat and a girl with a couple piercings in her face.

(Seriously, it stinks when things go out when your income is limited. Both my house A/C and my car A/C went this last summer. House is fixed. Car isn't.)

I did a year with no heat or air conditioning in my car. As hard as the summer was, the winter was worse. I had no ventilation at all so I had no defroster. My windshield would ice over INSIDE.
