Doesn't Al-anon have some kind of an online support board? Mel or Pep might know of something.
I am sorry AM... I remember the worries and heartaches when my parents were alive with the alcoholism and driving. Also the denial/coping gambling addiction of my mother.
My sister and I agonized endlessly over taking his keys, disabling the engine in the car, calling the police on him everytime he went for a drive...and finally going in front of a judge.
It was very, very hard on everybody.
Anyway, no advice just a gentle "bump up" for you.

If someone is pretending to be Cousin A, Cousin A can and should certainly take steps to put a stop to identity theft, including calling the authorities if necessary. Otherwise...
Cousin A needs to start attending Al-Anon and minding his/her own business.

Thanks, Weaver. I'd like to intervene in some positive way, but it's kind of hard from this distance. I hate to see a good family destroyed. And I also hate to think that Cousin B might wind up killing her mother by messing with her prescriptions.
Bramble, it's very hard to trace a phone call from several months ago, and "prove" who impersonated whom, but she did indeed try to take action. I'm concerned about you: you are becoming the very thing you deplored in your thread a month or so ago.
Weaver, I've just checked out the al-anon board, and will refer my cousin to it. Many thanks for the tip. I'm removing my original post, to protect the privacy of my family, now that I have a more appropriate venue for this concern.
