Hello,

I would like to plan something extra special for my H and I on New Years Eve. Although our money will be short, I would like to do something in addition to watch night. Something that would leave room for intimacy, romance and make it an unforgetable evening. ANY IDEAS would be appreciated.

maybe you could tell us what part of the country you are in. Might be easier than sifting through a lot of 'walk in the beach' if you live in Montana <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Live in Texas, USA. No beaches in my area and the temp range is about 60 - 70 degrees.

There are several of us Texans around the site.

Is there a lake or somewhere close that will be doing a fireworks display?

Maybe even just a late night picnic would be good.

Check the newspaper. If you are near Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Austin, there may be some free or low cost entertainment for the evening. You can always google New Years Eve and the town you are near to see what is available.

I bet if you are creative you'll come up with a grand idea. If you don't have kids to worry about, you could set up your own mini vacation at home - want to go to Hawaii? get some grass skirts, a bikini, drinks with paper umbrellas, etc.

Pretend you are in the ski lodge with hot chocolate, a fire in the fireplace, etc.

Even do the Times Square thing, get all dressed up, rent a Broadway musical, champagne at midnight, etc.
