Mine got me the usual - nothing. But as I have a penchant for throwing Christmas gifts out in the street, it is just as well. | | |

Mine got me nothing of course, I didn't expect anything. Well maybe deep down inside I was hoping but it didn't happen. Heck I didn't even get a Happy Birthday yesterday via the kids or nothing. That kinda hurt me but what can ya do.....
He didn't get anything for anyone but our kids which was not much, not even his mom.. How sad for her.

Kids did say though that the OW'S xmas tree was loaded down with gifts for OW'S DD and her.... Guess he didn't have enough money to worry about his family just the Ho and her DD. Makes me sick to my stomach that we all were pretty much forgotten by him..... Only gift he got from the family though was from his mom 2 shirts. The kids got him nothing because I was not about to give my money for it...

Next year will be better thats for sure......

Believer, wouldn't it be better to throw the WS in the street, and keep the gift?
I think sometimes about all the pain in the world. I hope we can ease that here, even if only a little bit.

Believer, you're kidding right? Mine didn't even take my kids to get and get me something from THEM! But even when we were together he didn't do that..... so nothing has changed there. mlhb
God first, family second, and all else will fall into place.

My x hasn't gotten me anything since he left 10 years and a few months ago. However, the children, thanks to him, got me the staple gun I have wanted for years. And a 20$ gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond. Too bad I didn't have it last week because I bought myself a christmas present from there....a Black & Decker cordless mixer - I've worn 2 of those things out.
The children got him a battery free flashlight and a used DVD from Blockbuster. They were happy with the choices.

I will say the children have missed 2 of my birthdays, thanks to him, but that is relatively ok. I love them anyway.

My WH got me a beautiful necklace. It is white gold with two pearl drops hanging at different lengths. Bit sophisticated for me but I do like to dress up now and again!
Since my WH moved out, I have had better presents than in the whole of our marriage. Diamond earrings, super duper mobile phone, perfume, toiletries, chocolates. I always accept graciously cos I figure he owes me for all the years he didn't even bother to say "Happy Birthday". He's a strange creature and bathed in sadness at the moment.

My WH gave me a re-gifted Christmas card "to Mommy, love DD," and a wallet photo of him, SIL and DD in their Christmas best. Really hurt my feelings. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I got nothing fr WS/STBXH.
But I had a lovely Christmas at a friend's house. We had a bring-in Xmas dinner and most suprisingly, exchange of gifts... I got the loveliest mug (yes, I know mug sounds so boring, but I liked this mug a lot) and other small gifts I that I will open later throughout 2006.

We sang Christmas carols and watch each other's vacation slides and videos and had a really good time. A better time than Christmas with WS.

On Christmas Day, I bought myself a pair of hiking shoes.

I am cleaning house the next couple of days. If I do a good job, I will reward myself with another present :-)

Mine gave me perfume...
And I got two gifts...not one! It was ironic...the gifts were given to me when FV was GONE! She had left to her xbf's house to pick up her ds...and that was when Darth asked me to come over to get ds. I drive up to the townhome...he comes out with the gifts.

First gift was from DS supposedly...something picked out by FV. I asked DS if he went w/her to get it...he said NO! It is really ironic! Especially since her skin is worn out from all the partying..and sadly she is 10 years younger than I! It was a pack of dead sea spa scrub to "make you look younger"...ha! Good joke FV. But again, you to me are the big joke! She actually had enough cajones to write a card for me. Said she wished ME a Merry Christmas and a happy new year...Ha! I will wish her a happy one...with my high heel stuck up her [censored] for NOT taking my ds to doc twice when promised she would to darth this year and NOT feeding my child!

Then came the gift with no card. And very well wrapped. It was for first time a gift to ME from DARTH since our divorce. It was not the second rate perfume that FV purchased last year in the guise of being a gift from ds...Nah. NO card. Very expensive wrapping. And it was actually something I do wear. I love Armani..,for both women and men..Armani Sensi. Which I wear and love. Wierd huh?

DS did not get btw his nebulizer back and we went to dinner at friends tonight. DS had a mild asthma attack so I had to phone darth to get it back. I said we'd be coming by shortly to get it. He met me again outside...again, FV is DELIBERATELY TRYING TO AVOID ME...as she is well aware of my wish to give her a slice of handburger!

Or else she simply isn't there...which also could be the case.

anyway, Darth emerges from townhome w/nebulizer. Asks if we had fun, wishes again Merry Christmas...brings his dog out and it runs immediately up to me (heck, kids and animals love me ok?)and I pat his head. Darth says as he is handing me nebulizer...Oh I love the cologne. It really smells nice. Thanks. I really will enjoy it. DS smiles at him. I said we're glad you like it. He says bye. Says he'll see me in morning...that he is NOT going into office and will watch ds and make sure he's feeling ok b/c I gotta go in and see darn it two patients.

I find the gifts get progressively better when the affairees are on the rocks. Seems Darth is much friendlier too...my girlfriends tonight just think he is sad he screwed his life up...and that his xw, me, seems light years different and a cooler option than what he settled for...sad for him though.

It was hilarious at dinner. Cell kept ringing. One time Darth again...asking about ds...knew we were out with friends. My friends' husband answered my cell. He said "Peach's answering maching...this is Greg!" Darth stuttered and asked to talk to me. Everybody laughed. He heard it. Then a guy I also worked with but not directrly (yea, yet another pa guy) called me to wish me a Merry Christmas. And to consider dinner? Then a third call. From xbf2...the other pa. My friends were all laughing and Greg kept answering my cell.

I think tonight served Darth right. AFter the dinner when I drove up, was when he acted so nice. I guess he is having a lovely time tonight at Christmas dinner having a large helping of CROW!

My WH helped the kids pick out a sewing basket with some accesories for me. He also added a movie which he obviously picked. That felt kinda weird that he actually thought about who I am for a minute or two out of his busy wayward life.
I helped the girls pick out a remote control car for him (small but suitable for his motel room-they had their heart set on a remote control car), a small robot toy thingy they had been looking for, and a six pack of IBC Rootbeer in the bottles. I considered a movie or CD from me, but decided not to waste the cash or the brain cells.

My WW got me a suit which she said was from DD. My WW has always told me I look great in suits.
I got WW a sapphire pendent with 3 diamonds set in white gold with a white gold chain. I told her it was from DD and I. When she opened it she stared at it for about 3mins and her eyes began to water she caught herself and said she loved it. WW also said this is somthing she would of picked out. I guess not to bad. She even said I did good. Sapphire is mine and DD birthstone since we share the same B-day.

My kids drove over to WH's apartment after we'd opened our gifts together. WH was not present. This was the first time that the boys have EVER been to his apartment. The last time DD was there was last January. It took them about half an hour.
They came home with a bottle of wine for me from him. It was from a winery in Sonoma that we'd spent a few lovely days at when our oldest son was very young. It's a nice wine and I'll probably drink it. However, it's a cab and can probably wait on the wine rack for a few years until the pain dulls.

Grapes are versatile. Grapes can be sour, sweet, sublime as wine and fabulous even when old and dried out.
