Okay, if anyone is interested, here is my idea.

How about a Sunday afternoon in late January (perhaps 22nd or 29th) at Stone Mountain Park? We could do a "covered dish" thing at one of the picnic grounds.

There were be open space for any kids who wished to run and play (frisbee, softball, ???), and we "grown ups" could have some privacy to talk.

Of course, all would depend on the weather. If too cold or precipitation, it would not be good.

Cost to enter the park is $8.00 per car per day.

I would bring meat (such as chicken)for all.

Comments?

(I'll be back on Tuesday to check comments).

I am in favor of a dinner again...INDOORS...january is sooooo cold! Plus margaritas are always a good idea.

How's about meeting near Centinnial Olympic park and having lunch at the sports grille in the CNN building and then going to the aquarium? Now that's fun! And the sports grille...think its' Jocks and Jills...has margaritas!

The aquarium is AWESOME!

Stone mountain is great...but it's cold! And the aquarium is SOOOOO CHILD FRIENDLY IT'S UNBELIEVABLE!

Awesome place to eat also is Aunt Pitty Pat's Porch...old south cuisine served family style. You pay one price and get all you can eat and you serve yourself at big tables with bowls you pass around. Kids love it too.

But Jocks and Jills is also good for the price! good Sports grille...my ds loves it! They serve the kids' meals in an upside down frisbee..which the kids get to keep!

Mornin' folks -

Let me suggest we try this.

First, let's see who (and how many) folks would be interested in an Atlanta get-together.

Then, once we get a tentative roster together, we will start working towards a consensus on dates, venues, etc...Okay?

List so far:

Georgia Guy
AD
Cinderella
Justpeachy

Okay, anyone else that is interested, just add your name to the list. Like I said, we'll work out the details later.

I'd like to come, too, if I can. The 28th is out... I'm planning to throw DD's first birthday party that afternoon. Plus, Sundays aren't good period b/c WH has DD for a chunk in the middle of the afternoon.

I don't know that stone mtn would be a good choice until spring. I can think of better things to do than be cold outside after a 5 hr drive.

Good Morning -

Here is our current list:

Georgia Guy
AD
Cinderella
Justpeachy
tdr
sadmommy05
Faith1

I'm hearing that Saturday is preferable, and outside may not be good for this time of year.

I'll try to spend some more time on this later this week and maybe nail down something that I hope can please everyone.
