Hey, Crushed and Tunk. Hope you both had a good day, today. I'm kind of going thru some saddness. My Pastor and his family just moved away, today. Sunday was their last day, and we had a potluck after services. VERY emotional! I just started going back to church about a year ago, and have only known these people for a short time. During that time, I was baptized, and the pastor's wife got me a job in the office where she worked. BIG changes in my life, during such a short period of time. Now they're gone. They went back to the South, after 10 years. I'm out West. I'm heartbroken. I'll have a hard time going back there, (to the church) and giving the next guy a fair chance, but I will. My Pastor said, "Don't remember ME, remember Jesus!" They don't take credit for any of the changes in my life, they were just here for it.
Anyway...Life will go on! Take care, and the prayers are always there!
Jennifer

Jennifer68 your Pastor is right Jesus was the one making the changes in your life. Think what a blessing it is for your Pastor and his wife to be a part and see all the wonderful blessing given to you. There is a young girl that works with me and is a lot over weight and hides behind being a big cut up so not to be hurt by the remarks made by some of the people, and not being excepted into the group of ladies working with us and she has stated she is not sure she beleaves in God. Well I made it a point to go to lunch with her spend my breaks with her and now she is going to church with me on sundays and all the ladies have welcomed her into the dept. She thanked me the other day for helping her and she is happy and is starting to like her job, but the truth is I didnt do a thing but what God wants us all to do. GIVE LOVE....you do that every time you help me face another heart hurting day or get thru it. Let others know that your new Pastor needs a friend to help him feel he is part of the family in your church. Still looking for the full time job and still missing ex and need prayers always. Been posting in Mama Javas Recovery Coffee House you should come in for a rest and a cup of hot cocoa. God Bless Jennifer I'll tell tunk you said hi.

Thankyou, Crushed. Your words meant more to me than you know! And you're right, it has been JESUS, all along. And I know I need to get back to church, and to accept the newness of the church family. I need to tell Jesus, "Thankyou, for bringing these people in my life, and for bringing me closer to You!"
Sometimes, it's the "little" blessings that mean the most!
I think you did awesome with your co-worker, and getting her in church with you. I know it was all God's doing's, but he did it by using your gift of compassion to reach this person! And it's good for OUR souls, too, to help another. God's gifts have a way of touching ALL of our hearts, at any given time!
I hope you are doing well in the recovery process. I know it still hurts, but it's a comfort to know that we are not alone, and that God is with us! (As He continues to remind us over and over ...)
Take care ...
Jennifer

There is times that you feel like all the hurt and pain was just put on you seconds ago. It cuts you so deep that you are amazed your still breathing. Then there is times that you feel it has been so long that you have walked hand and hand with the hurt and pain that your scared of it leaving you because thats all you have of you, your old life, him... Am I truley fading away?? But all the while that knot you carrie around in you gut is a new part of you new body makeup and will never leave you, burst of tears that seem to come form no where, a feeling of always saying good bye... and today I say good bye to D-Day see you all in Recovery. Step by Step and Day by Day I go on with the Grace of God..........

Jennifer, I've spent months now taking lots of time to get in the presence of God with lots of Bible reading and specific prayer. God is close to the broken hearted and so He is very close to us right now, just a reminder for myself and to you. You've got a good heart and your posts show it. My last pastor said who we are leaks out, and in your case that's a good thing. Thanks...

Tunk, your very kind words were so touching, to me, I almost choked up! Thankyou!
Crushed and Tunk, it is so true, that God is with us everywhere we go. We just need to pray that He opens our eyes to notice this, when we are at our lowest points in life. We need His direction and guidance in every move we make. I have to learn this valuable lesson, EVERY day!! I guess my skull can sometimes be pretty thick with my OWN thoughts and ways. But the peace returns, when I am able to let Him take the wheel, and let Him drive, while I can just be along for the ride. That's not always an easy thing to do! And God knows this!
I was happy to see you two on the recovery board! Bless you both!
Take Care...Jennifer
