Hope I've picked the right section of this board to post this and that this topic hasn't been covered before ...
Since my D-Day I have become over-emotional when watching certain movies that remind me of my FWH's affair. Just little (ridiculous?!) things can set me off. I am sure this is nothing new to most BSs on this board. At the same time, some movies are helpful and encouraging. I thought it might be helpful to many people on this board if we listed movies that are emotional triggers (good and bad ones). Here goes ...

* "The Story of Us" - Bruce Willis, Michelle Pfeiffer: shows the good and bad of a long marriage, inspirational (for those wanting to stay together) and VERY emotional.

* "The Upside Of Anger" - shows how anger can become all-consuming and how it deeply affects those around you.

* "French Kiss" - I loved Meg Ryan's speech to her ex-fiance 2/3 of the way through the movie where she sticks up for herself.

* "Under the Tuscan Sun" - BS makes it on her own.

* Stupid late night movie that set me off: "The Secret of My Success" - office romance (my FWH scenario).

* "Shall We Dance" - set me off too, even though everything turns out alright at the end. Wife thought husband was having an affair and hired a P.I.

I won't watch "Mr and Mrs Smith" because of the love triangle controversy that surrounded the making of that movie.

Does anyone have any others? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I whole heartedly agree with Mr. and Mrs. Smith,

I am now a Brad Pitt and Jolene whather face despiser. I was so disappointed in Brad. I did watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith, don't worry, it wasn't all that and a bag of chips.

Some of the movies you mentioned, were ones that I had eyed, but didn't feel strong enough to watch. So many triggers, and both fws and I are trying to get to the point where there are not so many awkard silences. So we both avoid the movies where infidelity is the main subject.

I know there is a lot of silence when the radio plays the song by George Strait, She let herself go. I am so glad George sang something that was a boost to all bs. It lets the ws know that while bs might mourn the loss of ws love, it will not stop us from living life to the fullest, and going on to have a full complete life, including finding new loves.

In the end, I have nothing to lose but everything to gain, by trying to save my marriage.

Do not watch "Derailed" it will bring up so many BAD BAD things. My "friend" has me watch it today and I nealry broke down and started to cry. I told her I was having a bad day and that we needed to turn it off.

If I wasn't going through what I am right now, it would be an awsome movie...

Be Careful of DERAILED...
