LH, it's easy sitting on the married side now isn't it.
This internet dating stuff is weird. I just reactivated and I had a guy write me who wrote 2 years ago. He remembers everything we said (probably kept emails). Very, very weird.

haha... newly, when I reactivated again after being gone for 2 years, I had 2 guys e-mail me almost immediately that remembered me. "You're back!" I had to tell one of them to jump in a lake. I was willing to meet the other one "just as friends", and I told him so. He agreed, but we never worked it in our schedule, and he finally gave up.

(((Newly & Faith)))

Just remember as y'all post your dating exploits that I'm not laughing with you I'm laughing at you....no wait, I think that's wrong.... Awwww nevermind... But yes, Newly it is different now that I'm married, however, it's still difficult sitting on this side of the screen watching someone struggle, especially when it's the same struggles we see over and over again. People dating married people and wondering why it's difficult. People not recovered, ending up dating another just as unhealthy, and wondering why they have problems. Searching for every answer except the proven one, because we are all the exception, you know.

I didn't do a lot of things right after my divorce and I struggled, but there was one thing I did right and that was to wait until I was ready. There were a couple of female friends that talked about starting more but it didn't come to pass, THANK YOU LORD.... I look at them today and I look at me today and Oh what a life that would have been, full of drama, pain, and heart ache......

Anywho, y'all have fun out there and keep us posted, some of this stuff is better than Springer....lol....

"People not recovered, ending up dating " Are you talking about me here?
I'm glad you are still on to show us that we can love again, and be happy again. I love seeing the new wedding pics of the oldtimers. I don't expect I'll be posting any soon.
I've finally dragged out the eharmony book and the MB book "the one" and other relationship books that I've put off reading. Now if I just open them and read them, I'll find out if I'm ready to begin again. I certainly wasn't two years ago. But then Sudoku has my interest these days too.

This new guy who is writing me skis, so even if we just meet as ski buddies, that's ok for me.

I think I am one of those people who isn't quite ready yet, yet has had relationships. I really thought I was, but as things have progressed I find myself repeating past mistakes and I don't like it. I think it may be better to take the time to be me and a mom for a while. To gain some fresh perspective.

On another note. A good friend of mine who has been divorced for a year and a half, jumped right into the dating scene before she was ready, and had nothing but bad luck has found her "soul mate" courtesy of Match.com. They met six weeks ago and are now engaged. Yes, you are recognizing sarcasm here. How do you convince someone to slow down?

Take care and God bless!

The eharmony book says at the beginning (all I've read) that what we know as attraction is not what sustains a relationship. so far that's all I've read.
Sorry, I'm off to meet the guy from match. A never married 44 YO. Wish me luck.

Oh this is funny. My husband was on a dating site prior to meeting me. He said he came to find out that voluptuous is not what he wanted even though at first he thought it was!
