heartmending said: The ones I don't get......the photos that have adult females in them along with the guy, or a baby when they have "No Children" listed. And....there's no explanation of their role in the man's life. Sister? Ex? Mom? Co-worker? Nephew? Or..the ones where it was obvious that it was a "couples" photo, with the ex now cut off/out! In my "research" I happened to see a guy I know (XBF rented a room from him) who posted a picture of himself with a woman. He did give an explanation, said she was his "sister". Funny thing is she looks a lot like his GF (or XGF?) who I only saw at a distance but also in pictures he had in the house...

Naah. I wouldn't want to date a woman who's hiding behind her cat. Why not show a photo of herself?
I have a cat and I love her. I'm just not obsessed with her. There are other things in my life that I love just as much.

Was the cat good looking? I suspect it is the prettiest of the two.

My best friend is gorgeous, never married, no kids, well travelled and is a veterinarian. She signed up on a dating site and posted, among others, a photo of her with one of her cats. She got NO decent replies. I was STUNNED. I can't help but wonder if it was "the cat thing". Then again, she loves animals. If the men don't then she doesn't want them. I don't think it's a case of not liking animals. I love animals. But, I am not interested in somebody's cat. Leave the animals out of the pictures. It's OK to mention that you have a cat, but what's the point of the photograph? I guess I could post photographs of my guy toys with my profile, but again, what's the point?
Just another guy exploring middle age.

Btw, and for working people... I love dogs and some other animals/pet (not cats, sorry), but... I could never have them... Isn't it cruel leave them 10-11 hours per day alone at home?... (I was looking for a house for quite a few monts and saw many of them... with dogs/cats/etc in - cages! I felt so sorry...)

[color:"green"]I always thought that guys that posted a pic of their dog as the main pic were hiding. They didn't want someone to see them on the site for whatever reason, or they didn't want their own pic to be the first thing looked at by shoppers?
My BF has a dog and no children and the dog is more maintenance than children are sometimes. Between his dog and my children we are greatly limited to time available for spending with each other. He doesn't come over for a weekend much because the dog gets restless in my house and I don't go over his place for a weekend because I'm generally running my teenager around on weekends when my younger ones are with dad.
I'm sure that there are times that he wishes I didn't have children just as there are times that I resent his dog.
