My divorce trail is now only a month away. I was just wondering if anyone has ever asked the judge to mandate marital counseling. I was told by a freind that they have heard of this happening. Though it seems very unlikely that she will have a change of heart anytime soon, I feel like I should do everything in my power to keep my commitment to her.

Some States require counseling before a D can be granted. In our state we were supposed to go to a mandatory Session, but XH never went. Do you not have a lawyer? I would highly recommend one if you dont.

You need lawyer for complicated Dv ... w/ kids or property. If your is simple and you could live with what she is asking for thne you don't need one. However you need lawyer to protect yourself from your emotion.
Have you done plan A ?.

We dont have kids so its not real complicated and SD is 50/50 state as far as property goes no matter.
It is past the plan A plan B thing. We dont talk to each other and havent for probably 6 months. Though I would like to remains friends with her, though I think that the person she has become would not be a very good friend.

I do want to be friends. Before all of this happened, we were each others best friends. We were together for so long and she meant so much to me. She was the most important person in my life and it is so hard to lose her. I do hope that whatever happens that we will still be able to be friends. I would at least like to try.
