Feeling better today? I'm sure you did try to communicate your distress with your H, it's just that often times they just can't or don't want to listen.
I kept trying to discuss our problems with my H over a period of several years, but he chose instead to brush it off. I always told him that if he ignored the little problems now, then they would lead to bigger problems later on. He really didn't think our problems were that big a deal. Then finally I just got tired of always trying to fix things and I started giving up also. He took that as a sign that everything was now ok, and that the problems went away by themselves, and he started to go his own merry way. Ultimately, that led up to my being here.
So, I can sympathize with you, when a spouse doesn't want to listen, things can seem hopeless. Sometimes the clueless need a brick upside the head to make them notice you've been standing there all this time trying to get their attention. And by the look of things, your H must have a dent in his head the size of Wisconsin. My H's dent has now shrunk to the size of New Jersey.
It's just a shame when someone has to go to those extremes to make their spouse, someone they love and care for, turn around and take notice. It's still wrong, and not really justifiable, it's just sad that that's the course of action they think things have to take sometimes.
My H really isn't sorry about what he did, he's sorry he hurt me, and says he'll try not to do it again, but he still doesn't understand that what he did was wrong.
I have a friend who is now divorcing her H, when she told him she was filing for divorce, she says he blinked twice and then said, "I'm going to buy a new refrigerator."
