Not knowing what your previous MB name was --- we may have already had a similar discussion ???? I donno

but I wanted to comment on this

and he will also have to come to terms with the pain he caused EVERYONE -

yes he caused pain

and yes OW volunteered for her pain --- and in my opinion --- hence OW was THE cause of her OWN pain

a subtle difference

and the FWH who spends much time feeling bad for the pain that OW caused herself is time spent NOT recovering his marriage

KWIM?

--- and PS ---

of course the OW/OM/OP is NOT subhuman

Quote
Yes, I agree with Pepperband 100% - the OW was a volunteer, not a victim. But she is still a human being (as much as we all would like to think of our OP as subhuman )

that is an inflammatory remark insuinuating that's what this board is all about

and you know better since you are not actually a newbie

OP are as human as our WS

We don't call them subhuman, coz we would also have to call our spouses (and/or selves), whom we now dearly love subhuman.

It just t'aint so.

I came here as an "OW" and I rec'd more support than I have from any other place in my life.

Not support for my poor choices, but support for being human.

And I also judged other people's WS's, but now I know better for I have learned that we are ALL human, and those who are stonger help those who are weaker. It's just the way humans are.

If I were to help anyone now, it would be through self-growth, and their WS would be irrelevant, just as their OP would be.

It is after all, all about us. It's our show and how we view others is a reflection of how we view ourselves, for we wouldn't see their flaws if their flaws weren't in us.

So I no longer view OP's or MM who prey on naive single women as subhuman or vice versa, because I no longer have that particular characteristic in me...I view them as in need of help, but again unless they are the ones here seeking help they are irrelevant, and should be viewed as such.

Get it everyone, this is your show and it is all about YOU.

If that makes any sense.
