The words to this song really touched me the other day & I wanted to share them with you. I hope this can give at least just one person some strength to carry on -
I thought of all of our hurting friends here on MB.

by Casting Crowns

Praise You In This Storm

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining.

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
Ans as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away.

I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm.

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
if I can't find You.

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth.

Thank you so much for this song! My iPod has been one of my lifelines during this time; the Lord has used songs to encourage, comfort, hold me. I downloaded this one last night.

Here are a few others that have really helped me hang on, if you need more --

"Held" by Natalie Grant
(This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and know
That the promise was when everything fell
We’d be held)

"He Will Carry Me" by Mark Schulz
(And even though I’m walkin’ through
The valley of the shadow
I will hold tight to the hand of Him
Whose love will comfort me...
And even though I feel so lonely
Like I’ve never been before
You never said it would be easy
But You said you’d see me through
The storm)

"Cry On My Shoulder" by Overflow
(You just want to feel loved instead of all the pain
You no longer have to say
No one’s listening anyway ...
Come here and cry on my shoulder
I’ll hold you ‘till it’s over
I’ll rescue you tonight
Let my arms be your shelter
Your hiding place forever
I’ll love you more than life)

"Cry Out To Jesus" by Third Day
(For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They’ve lost all of their faith in love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough ...
There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus)
