There is no efficient or effective way to randomly guess passwords.
Many email services require "strong" passwords, meaning the password must have a capital letter or number or special character in it. Since a random generation program would start (notionally) with AAAAAAAA (assuming you knew how many digits were in the password), it would take an enormous amount of time to crack a password.
Social engineering, finding out if there is a "theme" to his passwords or a group of them he cycles through is your best bet.
Depending on what kind of phone he has, what email he uses there and your access to his phone for extended periods you have some options.
1. You could set up some "rules" on his email account to forward any new messages to an account you have. If he's not technically-swift, this may work.
2. If his phone has a sim chip in it, you could acquire another phone of the same model and use the sim chip to access his email from there and then put the chip back before he finds out.
I, like you, revealed my method for checking up on my WW and that source of information quickly dried up. We all live an learn.

I don't understand why you want the password. You know he is having an affair. Are you working on Plan A?

I'd put the key logger on and make sure he "lost" his phone for awhile or it accidently fell in the washing machine.. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

They all say they want a divorce. You are losing precious time by trying to find evidence that you have already found. You know he is having an affair. Time to get busy with a plan.
