I was wondering the same thing… If you stay up to 3 that’s a lot of hours you should be holding your wife. Well… it’s 1 where I am so whom am I to speak…

Finding 15 hours a week of fun things to do in Saudi Arabia is a challenge in and of itself. We have started an adult edu course two nights a week. We play tennis most weekends, run together, we go to DD's soccer and swimming practice together - things like that. We are fairly new here and we need to establish a larger circle of friends. Right now she is not highly motivated to do that. There are some obstacles that are not her fault either. With time, it will happen.

We are in process of hiring a chauffeur. If all goes well, he will have all his paperwork done in 2 or 3 more weeks and I will fly him immediately in from the Philippines. Once here, my plan is go to to Bahrain at least once a week for an escape (and yes - beer okay I said it). My WW is Mexican and she loves beer - the perfect woman or what?

I also just bought a golf cart and am joing our club. Believe it or not we have an outstanding grass course here. My WW loves golf (and so do I). We both quit when first DD was born. (Okay she quit a couple of months earlier - the stomach caused her to slice - no followthrough).

I do almost nothing by myself except work and go to the gym (none of our gyms are coed). I think a few months ago I was spending too much time with her. Now I am trying to find the right balance. She needs her space too. With a little T&E, I hope to find the right mix.

Bigger,

I don't stay up til 3:00 - I wake up at 3:00. Trust me, I go to bed with my WW every night whether I am sleepy or not. No exceptions. On weekends, I crawl back in bed with her about 5:00 or 6:00 and wait for her to wake up. We go to sleep holding hands and she wakes up in my arms on weekends.

Oops, just hit me. One of Benjamin Franklin's famous quotes is: "early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise".

"I think if I were ever to be in a “Lost” situation, stranded on a desert island, I would want you close by and ToddAC to write the script!"

OK, I will write the script, but if and only if I get to go to the island. Since there will be no electricity, I will bring my old IBM Selectric. It should be quite a story.

I guess I'd better bring my notebook. Electronic mistakes are much easier to fix than electric mistakes. Although the Selectric was mighty innovative in its day.

I suppose I am the only person in the world who does not watch Lost. All I watch are Rockford Files and Seinfeld reruns.

"Lost" is, IMO, an extremely positive show sbout interpersonal relationships and self-healing with a little drama thrown in to hold your attention. It is like "Survivor" without the greed and self-interest - well, there is still self-interest but isn't there always?
