Going a bit off topic here. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a MB-like high quality site with discussion boards that might be useful to a single mother? Thanks.

Have you tried any of the babycenter.com boards?

I never had to take the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution?

Thanks. I should have said the mom (she's my sister) has a 10-year old son, who is turning out to be a handful.

The absentee father denies parentage and lives thousands of miles away in Asia, and the mom doesn't want anything to do with him. So she's challenged with raising her son without a man in his life.

I live 1000 miles away from her, so I can't fill that role. Trying to find a way to help her. I know a website discussion board can't take the place of a father, but at least it might be some help and comfort to her.

Any thoughts on resources for her; possibly useful discussion boards? MB has been such a godsend for me, I am hoping there is such a thing for single moms.
