I was chopping veggies in my kitchen the other day.,
I was listening to dr laura on the AM dial,....
I heard some woman call in and spin a tale about how her and husband are a united front on the fact that his parents her inlaws are just downright mean and spiteful people...and no matter how hard they try to please and appease them...that his parents give them grief...
dr. laura's advice was for her and her husband to accept that is how his parents are...and for the two of them not spend one more ounce of energy or time discussing what they already know to be true.
then dr laura asked the woman for an example of how they are ridiculously over the top....
and the womans example was

"well dr laura to start with they have never gotten over the fact that their son married a girl
NOT FROM TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I almost fell off my kitchen stool laughing....
