[color:"red"]'Twas the Night Before Denver
'Twas the night before Denver, when all through the town, [color:"black"] S [color:"yellow"] t [color:"black"]e [color:"yellow"] e [color:"black"] l [color:"yellow"] e [color:"black"] r fans were ready for the Broncos to go down;
The flags and banners were all hung with care, In hopes of Detroit, with the [color:"black"] S [color:"yellow"] t [color:"black"]e [color:"yellow"] e [color:"black"] l [color:"yellow"] e [color:"black"] r [color:"yellow"] s there;
The players were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Super Bowl danced in their heads;
With Cowher in charge, I had a night cap, And settled down for one more night's nap;
When up at Mile High there arose such a clatter, Bronco fans wondered just what was the matter;
For at the stadium there was a great flash, Someone had entered with no ticket, no cash;
The moon on the breast of the mountains of snow, Gave the luster of mid-day to the man standing below;
When what to their wondering eyes should appear, Who this man was, it became quite clear;
The smoke from his cigar made the air gloomy, But they knew in a moment that it was Art Rooney;
He held the team roster, the plan of attack, Big Ben to Hines Ward or the Bus in the back;
He saw in the defense a curtain of steel, If they can't sack Jake the Snake then nobody will;
Troy will cover the field, he'll be everywhere, I'm telling you Broncos, you better beware;
His long locks of hair will flow in the breeze, He'll catch Jake's passes with the greatest of ease;
Mr. Rooney walked the sideline; he paced to and fro, He wore [color:"black"] black and [color:"yellow"] gold from his head to his toe;
A [color:"black"] terrible [color:"yellow"] towel he held oh so tight, As he looked to the heavens on that cold Denver night;
Then the words that he spoke left all feeling quite numb, [color:"red"] Lord get us to Detroit and my one for the thumb!!! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm finally getting into the Super Bowl spirit myself....it's sad, I'm the biggest Steeler Fan ever, and haven't even been able to muster up any excitement over this until now....before D-day, I would have been the happiest person alive for the last two weeks, now I pretty much forget what 'real' happy feels like... Anyway, here's another...
A wave of animal cruelty has the World Wildlife Federation up in arms. On the first day of this new year a lion was found viciously mauled. A week later, a bengaled tiger was discovered horribly beaten. While the lion only had fresh wounds, the tiger appears to have been suffering regular beatings for years. Just seven days after that, a colt was found battered. People at the scene said it kept muttering something about not getting enough protection. Hours ago, Denver authorities found another horse, this time a bronco, wandering the streets. The horse was not physically injured, but quite dazed and confused When asked about the incident, the hapless horse said "I was at home and everything was fine. I was about to feed my pet snake when he started choking and screaming about some sort of terrible towel following it around."
Rumor has it that the next target will be some sort of bird, a seahawk. All of the victims report trying to peek behind a giant steel curtain shortly before their incidents. As a result, the following warning has been issued to all animals: Peek behind a steel curtain, get hit by THE BUS. :-)

In a school just outside of Pittsburgh, a first grade teacher explained to her class that she is a Steeler's fan. She asked her students to raise their hands if they were Steeler's fans too.
Not really knowing what being a Steeler's fan was, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands all went up into the air.
However, there was one exception. A little boy named Timmy had not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asked him why he had decided to be different ..
"Because I am not a Steeler's fan" says Timmy.
The teacher then asked, "What are you?"
Timmy says "I'm a Seahawks fan."
The teacher was a little perturbed now, her face slightly red, she asked Timmy why he was a Seahawks fan.
"Well, my mom and dad are Seahawks fans so I'm a Seahawks fan too."
The teacher was now angry. "That's no reason" she says loudly. "What if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot?"
Timmy smiled and said, "Then I'd be a Steeler's fan."
GO SEAHAWKS!!!

And yet another (I live in Pittsburgh so I gots millions of these..lol)..whole tri-state area is a sea of black and gold today...warms the heart...LOL
Carson Palmer, after living a full life, passed away. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around and they came to a modest little house with a faded Bengal's flag in the window.
"This house is yours for eternity, Carson," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."
Palmer felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a Black and Gold sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Steeler logo flag, and in every window, a Terrible towel.
Palmer looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB and led the Bengals to their 1st AFC North division championship in 15 years."
God said "So, what's your point Carson?"
"Well, why does Ben Roethlisberger get a better house than me?"
God chuckled, and said, "Carson, that's not Big Ben's house, it's mine."
