Hi everyone, I'm new here- I've been married 3 days, to my wonderful guy, and we're very happy.
For his bachelor party, he promised me no strip clubs, especially because we were waiting for our day together, and it would take away from the emphasis of "Us." I don't really have an issue with them normally, as long as I'm there and/or he's upfront about it and doesn't go alone.
Well, the bachelor party went well, no issues, and the wedding was perfect!
Today, I checked our credit card bill, and there was a post of $15 to a nightclub in the area. I asked him about it, and he said he and a friend were celebrating a successful interview, which I know is the truth. I feel deceived, only because there are a million bars in the area, and I was never told about this short venture.
He really hadn't been to a club in almost 5 months, since he had gone with me. He doesn't have an addiction or problem, but I feel cheated and lied to. Any advice? Am I getting worked up over nothing? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I think this is something you need to negotiate. POJA the issue of nightclubs. Some couples are comfortable with one spouse going to a club without the other. For Hubby and I, we agree--enthusiastically--that we will not go to a nightclub and leave the other behind. If there became a situation, perhaps a stag or work event or one of us was invited out by a friend, we'd discuss it. Are you familiar with POJA? This is an opportunity to try it out.
