I was just checking my cell phone bill online (twp phones, same bill) and there are several numbers that look suspicious. One in particular that is being called every day. How can I find out who's it is without calling? If you have read my post in Recovery, you know my situation and that I am concerned. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Whitepages.com has a reverse directory for free - just type in the area code and number - takes less than 20 seconds.

I know, but it is more likely cell phone #'s and it doesn't work on cell #'s. Tried it already. :-(

Have you tried a "reverse number" look up? Most cell phone bills online will let you do that.

Or, call those numbers from a pay phone and see who answers.

If you think about it, there are many ways to find out who these calls came from.

I personally never had a "devious" mind until my WH had his A.

Now, I can thinks of all kinds of ways to find things out.

Good luck.

I saw something online where you could pay $25 or something for reverse cell directory but I think if I were you I would drive on down to a payphone NOW if it turns out to be suspicious I would just ask him. It really stinks to have to think about these things but better safe than sorry! Never know it could be nothing. Keep us posted and good luck!

The main number in question is registered with Florida Cellular, because it is a cell #. I can't do a reverse lookup on a cell # unless I purchase a service. Any other ideas besides calling?

I would go to a payphone, but three small boys in bed and I have a stupid case of the Flu. Yuck! Maybe while he is at work tomorrow.

I want to trust him so bad, know what I mean? But after I found the e-mails from those two girls from when he was on deployment, I just don't know. I mean, call this # every day? Some are just 1 minute calls, some are 5 or more.

Why are you so afraid of calling the #? If it is something you should know about you have every right to call if he is hiding something from you. Also he put you in a position to doubt him with good reason. You need to protect yourself. Dont be embarrrased or afraid to call it. It could be nothing and you could sigh in relief.

Is this YOUR cell phone or your H? If it's his phone, try looking in his phone book...it's probably saved with the person's name right?

or you could try asking a friend to call or post the number here and ask if anyone would call....just need to think of a good way to get the person who answers to tell you who they are....

Are you home with just the kids? Flu too yuck! If you think you can sleep just go in the am. If you have a friend you trust with this have her call. I wonder if your phone co would register your # private if you called them right now?

I think I am afraid of finding out it is another W or A. I don't want it to be because we seem to be doing so well in Recovery. But with his intricate lying during the A, I don't know. Plus, I am a stay at home mom with the boys, who has epilepsy. I was working as a paralegal, but left work in Jan to stay at home. I just want to be able to trust him. I don't know how I would handle another A. The 1st one... thinking it was over for months, living a lie, was so hard on me.... emotionally, phycally, spiritually. I was a Sunday School teacher.... I stopped going to church until recently.

Hopefully you would get voice mail with a name on it if you called this late.

It is his cell phone. I know that a girl named Melissa had paged him a few days ago... saw it on the call log with her number on his phone book. SHe is one of the one's in the e-mail. In one of her e-mails, she talks of her boyfriend being jealous of him. But she assured him they were just friends..... that was a couple months ago. I don't remember the number, so I can't tell if it is her or not. I don't really have a friend I can trust with this, unfortunately. Maybe tomorrow I can get mom to call? But I think mom's advice will be to let sleeping dogs lie.

That is a good idea. I might do it very early in the morning.... more likely to get voice mail. I like the idea of getting voice mail with someone's name......

Well of course those are probalby what everyone that is here fears. I think for me it is better to know. So what if it shows up on someones caller id. Just say oh I thought this was the number to China Buffet who the *&^% is this? Hes your man right? You have a right to the truth. Reminding you still it may be nothing.
