Hey - thought of you this morning reading the Washington Post. There was a picure of a REAL kiwi - a brown kiwi born in the Wash. Zoo. Cute. Big schnoz.

Sure am. LOL I don't have a big schnoz though. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
It's still beyond me why a whole nation has called themselves kiwis after a little brown bird that can't fly.
They're very cute though. Becoming endangered in the wild because of stoats and feral cats, which is a shame.

It's a horrible little creature like a ferret or a mink. Long and slinky and will eat anything.

I'm sure she is. I tried to find a web pic of the bird kiwi to post, but couldn't find the one in the paper. Here's the zoo web page with pics - safe to say no where NEAR as cute as the kiwi chick nor Jen! Brown KiwiHelps to explain why the eggs look so odd > fuzzy and brown on the outside, green on the inside. But tasty! WAT ----------- I'd rather go hunting with [censored] than driving with Ted.

Interesting fact about kiwi eggs. They're almost as big as the bird itself.
Yeah, fuzzy and brown on the outside. Like I haven't heard that before. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

See you guys later. I'm going out for the day. Going to visit my sister with my mother. She lives on an island (well, so do I but she lives on a small island) and it takes quite a long ferry trip to get there. Worth it though - it's very pretty.
