I just felt the need to type that... saints on bikes !!!! hee hee.... Next time I'm at work and they tell about some crazed person in the ER...I'm gonna yell out... Would these be BIKES as in HARLEY or BIKES that one PEDALS? Would be SAINTS as in New Orleans SAINTS of SAINTS as in the CATHOLIC kind? What does it matter? If I said that around here..I live in the South..I would be deemed CERTIFIABLE.. But thanks for sharing... Yo bOb - what exactly does "Saints on Bikes!" mean? Is it like "Great Ceasar's Ghost!!" or "Holy Mackeral!!"? (I have to admit I don't know exactly what those mean either.) I do have some favorite Southern (US) expressions that I'll trade you for more Brit sayings. "Would you buy a pig ina poke?" I DO know what that means. The less respectful version is " Christ on a bike !" as in a very unlikley thing to see !
Brits use 'pig in a poke' too.
