I have a question about child support, a woman on a bookboard is running scare and just about to give up the ghost, because her 2 young girls decided to go live with the father after he promised them the world in gifts other things (I think they are both 12 and under) this alone broke her heart, now her ex has called her up and told her with glee that he is going for child support even though he make 3xs more than her, she is scare out of her mind because she knows that she will be scraping by with this.
Is there any advice you can share with her, to ease her fears? ecause from the looks of it this is too much for he to bear, losing the kids and then her ex doing this just for spite and because her can.
Thanks

Child support is based on both parents income. He can't leave her with a hardship.

*** Post deleted based on new POJA related to feeling uneasy if I were to post on message boards where some responses are from either sex, also guessing spouse would feel disrespected if private family concerns were posted ***

uh---yeah he can. she is still responsible for their care to a degree.....she will be paying support. it may not seem like much to some but she will probably be ordered to pay her states minimum.

Thanks everyone, she lives in PA and from what she said she will have to paid up towards 500.00 a month, she is a social worker, so she is knows that she will have to do some pinching of the pennies just to get by, seems unfair as to he left the marriage, had the affaire and now wants to stick it too her.

take all of that out of it and she still has responsibility to support her children. stop looking at it as punishment....its a priveledge to have children and a responsibilty financially to raise em.

I think she is just scared because he is doing everything possible to hurt her, she knows that she has a responsility to support them, but just the fact that they choose to live with the father that left them high and dry and the fact that he called her to brag at the fact that he would be filing for CS to get at her
I guess she is just hurting that her kids did this to her.
