I'm tied of waiting for my attorney to return from his ski vacation so I decided to do some legal research on my own.

My hubby filed on the grounds of Incompatibility. I just found a statute that says he can't use those grounds unless I agree that it's true. I won't he has no othe grounds.

Also we have a statute here that states "At any time after thirty days from the service of summons an action for divorce, annulment, or legal separation the court of common pleas, upon its own motion or the motion of one of the parties, may order the parties to undergo conciliation for the period of time not exceeding ninety days as the court specifies, and, if children are involved in the proceeding, the court may order the parties to take part in family counseling during the course of the proceeding or for any reasonable period of time as directed by the court. No action for divorce, annulment, or legal separation, in which conciliation or family counseling has been ordered, shall be heard or decided until the conciliation or family counseling has concluded and been reported to the court."

This is good news!

I guess, in a way, he's right.

His affair is incompatible with your marriage, or

He's lying out his butt and you're not, or

He's an alien abductee and you're not!

Make sure your attorney knows everything you know about his affair to determine whether you have sufficient evidence to make the legal case for adultery. In the legal arena this can be a powerful tool. Ask here before you act on this. Your attorney may be a very good attorney, but we amateurs almost certainly know more about marriage building.

Thanks. I was curious because the statute sounded a lot like ours here in Mississippi regarding irreconcilable differences. I have to agree. This is all my WW could do at the moment. I have grounds on Adultery however.

Hang in there and do this on your terms.

thanks guys. it's good to get men's perspectives. this is the furst positive thing to happen yet.

WAT you make me laugh with your alien theories. Sadly they aren't too far fetched. And I actually trust opinions here more than I do the attorneys.

hopeandpray you hang in there too. This is tough but this board is great and helps so much.

Thanks again!

Lost,

What parts of Ohio? I grew up east of Cleveland and went to school there, as well.
