Do you think the Harley's ideas about living together apply irregardless of the circumstances? A close friend who is 57 has been living with a woman (50) for a year now. He says he won't/can't marry her because she would lose her monthly disability check. However I also know that he had a terrible marriage previously and was and is feeling pretty burned.
Personally I think the issue with the loss of her disability is a convenient excuse for him, as he can well afford to support them both.
Just wondering what you guys think?

First of all no one loses a disability check because of marriage. May lose a deceased spouse's social security benefits if she remarries, but not her DISABILITY benefits! Sounds like there's more to this story......a lot more.
