Ok, dont make fun of me. I dont have a cell phone and frankly dont know how to navigate one very well.
I was fumbling around on H's cell last eve and came accross text messages saved. All I could read were the headings; such as "Be there in 15 minutes", "Pick me up", "Thank you", etc...
From there, I could not figure out how to read the entire messages. I am going to assume they are work related, but the pick me up one threw me off.
Any thoughts on how I can do this??
I dont have the password to it, either if they are saved online in anyway.

Get the make and model of the phone. Go to the mfg's website and download the users manual (Google it if you need to). This will show you how to access the text messages (if they are still on the phone).

Generally, text messages (also called SMS) are just that simple... short and to the point. Chances are that you read all there was to read. If it says "Thanks" or "Come on over" then that's it. It's not a title or subject like an e-mail would have. If there are concerns then yes, download the user manual.

Hopeful4future is correct. TXT Messages can typically be up to 160 characters long. What you probably saw was the first 20 characters of the message. Pressing one of the middle buttons above the numbers will normally give you a scrolling screen with the full message.
On my phone, if you leave the message selected, the entire message will automatically scroll across the screen.

get your digital camera out, and take pictures of all of each message. You might end up with a lot of pics.
Store them on a CD that you keep in a safe place.

Hi,
my cellphone has pre-written messages. Ones like;
Call me back
I'm in a meeting
Can we meet at ---
I'll call you back
I love you
I'm thinking of you
etc............
As I said, they are "pre-written" and this way you don't have to type out each letter on your own. You simply pick out the pre-written SMS message that fits the situation, click on it and then send it to the person you want.
When I was new at this, I was at first shocked until I realized that these messages were already in my cellphone (and my husbands) when we bought them. The Cellphone company does this. You can change them to fit your own situation and it's possible to erase them.

During his A, my FWH added in his own messages to the presets.
He had Nextel, so I was able to hack the account and read all the presets, and every sent and received text message, without ever touching the phone.

There is a lot of good advice here. As you can tell, the model of the phone is important. Get the users manual. It may be that the manual has the messages that were preset. If not, a general call to customer service might help you out. My Audiovox phone's presets are called QuickText. I have modified mine to a LARGE degree.
