would humbly like to ask everybody here to pray for me this week...and pray for the people who are doing the deciding next tuesday morning.
was asked over the last five days to go into a private interview with the largest cardiac practice in my state...huuuuge.
THERE ARE ONLY TWO CANDIDATES THEY ARE INTERESTED IN...ONE IS ME. dunno who the other one is.
anyway, today was my interview with them. went in w/practice manager. i have interviewed with her earlier...2 years ago, and we were unable to make a go of the schedule at that time b/c of where i lived then and my son's school location. all has changed now and I am a good candidate in terms of not only experience and ability, but also b/c of proximity (huuuuge atlanta thing).
the interview was today after work, it went GREAT. at least i think so.
i so need this job...my pittance of alimony runs out next year and i get a laughable amount of child support (b/c darth lied about his income in all court docs and buried legal trails ). it is CONSIDERABLY MORE than the job i have now...which is good imho. THERE IS NO EMERGENCY CALL, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS...which is what a single mom needs.
benefits are awesome. they cap the patient load each day and it is ABOUT ONE HALF OF MY LOAD NOW...which means less headaches, less stress, and no more 15 hr. workdays or call!
and I am salaried...and WHEN I GET DONE W/LAST PATIENT, I CAN JUST WALK OUT AND LEAVE! the present person with the practice in that job leaves about three pm each day. no overtime necessary. nothing.
and a biannual bonus based on practice earnings....
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY THAT I AM BLESSED TO OBTAIN THIS POSITION.
it's been a hard road these last 3 years. this could be the place where I retire...it is awesome. there is room to grow...and plenty of opportunity to advance...and they are excited i am considering going back to school for mmsc degree too. i can continue working there in an expanded capacity also.

Peachy, good luck to you.
I started a new job today. I just hope I am happier than in my last new job.
Same money. Less convenient parking. Shorter but slower drive. LESS STRESS! I just hope I made the right decision.

congratulations....way to go! can totally understant the less stress part. i am sooo wanting that part for this job. your drive may be slower, but you're saving gas money I hope...and the cost of less stress? well to me, that's like a darn raise <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Peachy, timing is everything. The interview 2 years ago just positioned you for this event.
Did you read someone's post on Timing. It basically says things happen in God's time, not our own. This is likely it.
I'm on the opposite end. I need to hire someone and no decent applicants are available. One good one today, and I hope he makes it in with the snowfall - otherwise my spring will be really busy.

I am really nervous. calm before storm kinda nervous.
really stressed out folks.
prayers for a miracle for the job and for a calm stomach and nerves. went to aerobics 2night to see if i could shake the nerves thing...did NOT work.
please please pray for us. ds and I...we both need this.
and the biggest bonus of the job? MORE TIME WITH DS...LESS STRESS...more time not working and less time also in car commuting. basically it is a win win win sitch.

I know how you feel, you start calculating when their meeting was, when it should be over....
You'll hear something by the end of today. It might even be that the meeting didn't happen cuz someone crucial was gone...
Million things can delay it!

meeting was postponed until tuesday as they couldn't corral all the docs in same place due to scheduling/patient conflicts.
so keep up the prayer.!!!
