I was thinking about the MB names that people choose for themselves and what they mean.

For example, Mortarman....does it mean mortar as in muzzle loading cannon, since he was military?

Is it mortar like a vessel in which substances are crushed or ground with a pestle? Which would work too because he's good at advising us on how to *crush* the affair.

Is it mortar as in the stuff that binds bricks together? This name would also work, because he definitely holds GQII together.

My name is just my real first name and the first 2 letters of my last name. I know most people don't go this route for fear their WS's or OP's might happen on the site...but that never bothered me.

Soooooooooooo What's in YOUR name???

God Bless,

-Caren

Jennifer is my middle name! 68 is the year I was born.

(That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! )

Mine's just a normal name that popped in my head while I was registering. No real meaning behind it.....So, my story is boring but would love to hear about how others chose their names.

Confused 42 was my state of mind and my age at the time this all started I didn't know who I was then. I'm no longer confused and I'm no longer 42! LOL!

I'm thinking of changing it to something more personal like the nickname I had as a kid....Cha Cha...my dad still calls me Cha. Thats what I use to call my "Chatty Kathy" doll...she and I had a special bond...I was always chatty and my real name is Kathy.

Well, silly me! I thought MelodyLane was the name of that Beatles song that my son loved, and it turns out it was PENNY Lane, not ML! DUH!

mmmmmmmmm, I wonder...

---Actually, my wife was the first to post on MB. I had only lurked (a lot) up till then. She first registered as WWWondering, as in, Wayward Wife Wondering as she posed her initial questions.

Then we dropped the "WW" and shared the name for a time and would sign Mr. or Mrs. Wondering depending on whose post it was (that is still why she has more posts than I to her credit as she assumed our joint name and I started a new one). I'm glad we kinda share a name now as I believe it makes it easier for newbies to "match us up" as spouses more efficiently and obviously.

Mr. Wondering

Thanks

I think it's really interesting to see where people got the idea's for their names, and there's some that I wonder about....so I guess it boils down to me being nosey

"traicionado" is Spanish for "betrayed". Somehow seemed appropriate. My real name is "legion" for I am many.

Mine comes from my favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 40:31

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
