I got this email today and it was just too good not to share with people.
Blessings,

Life is filled with many chances
Some you took, and you some you blew
Your path in life can turn ever so quickly
On everthing you say
And change with everything you do

I know that was then
There's nothing I can do about what might have been

(Chorus)
Would'a, should'a, could'a done this and that
Don't wanna live life with another regret
Would'a, should'a, could'a made another choice
I can see more the older I get
Would'a, should'a, could'a said something more
But it's too late - there's a knock at the door
Would'a, should'a, could'a won't change a thing
The here and now is waiting

Would'a, should'a, could'a right now

We dig our pit, we make our bed
That's where we fall and where we lay
But we still have a shot to make things better
'Cause it ain't over yet
And we can get it right today
We can make the right choice
You know it's easy when you hear God's voice

(Chorus)

I want to live my life not only thinking of the past
The future tells me that my life has not been cast
I want to say "I will, I did" instead of could or should
Gonna believe in the promise "It's all good"

(Chorus)

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind

Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

I love this song too. When I came to fully know the Lord, this song was one that always touched me in a different place than others.

Glad it was a blessing, LA.

Adding another Casting Crowns song to this thread. Hope that is okay. It's helped me many a night to sing this.:

Quote
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will life my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

It's from the album "Lifesong." I recommend it--espsecially during this time.

It is an amazing thought isnt it, that the God of heaven catches our tears in His bottle?

Yup. Sure is.

When I get down in he dumps (as of late)--i keep telling myself that I'm still going to Heaven. Puts things in perspective. It also helps to get in the bathtub (now don't laugh--a bath is a real treat when you're a single mom of three small kiddos) and read psalms out loud. For some reason, when I am the most upset, I can't even get prayers out. So I read Psalms instead--but it has to be out loud. That way I hear them, too.

I got this great book called Praying Gods Word by Beth Moore. It is really a great book on strongholds, but when I cant pray, I read from there. She has taken scripture and made each one a prayer. When the words wont come or I just cant find them, it helps too.

I posted this song on my other thread but thought yall might like it as well, Intexas and Loving.

My hands hold safely to my dreams
Clutching tightly not one has fallen
So many years I've shaped each one
Reflecting my heart showing who I am
Now you're asking me to show
What I'm holding oh so tightly
Can't open my hands can't let go
Does it matter?
Should I show you?
Can't you let me go?

Surrender, surrender you whisper gently
You say I will be free
I know but can't you see?

My dreams are me. My dreams are me

You say you have a plan for me
And that you want the best for my life
Told me the world had yet to see
What you can do with one
That's committed to Your calling
I know of course what I should do
That I can't hold these dreams forever
If I give them now to You
Will You take them away forever?
Or can I dream again?

Surrender--Barlow Girl
