I pray that god will give my BS the strength to forgive me and my faults. That god will give me the stregth to always be open and honest with my S. That god will let my BS see within the next week that I am here for him and will do anything in my power to show him I am here to stay. Please lord stregthen me and give me the power to overcome the demons that have brought be to where I am today. I love my H more than anything and will never forgive myself for what I have done to him. In your name, Amen.

SassyGirl - since you are posting on this forum and invoking "god" (with a little "g") let me ask you a question straight out, are YOU a born-again Christian?

To the best of your knowledge, is your husband a born-again Christian?

If the answer is "yes," then you are looking in the "wrong place" for the answers to healing your marriage as the PRIMARY source for those answers. If the answer is "no," any port in any storm will do for the short run. MB will help. Many of the tools of MB will help. But we are talking about a "one flesh" situation that goes BEYOND the tools of MB (those things that YOU can do and YOU can control) and into the realm of God and faith and TRUTH.

In my opinion, at 22, at the beginning of a destroyed marriage, you and your husband have ONE chance at saving your marriage because what you did is never "gotten over," it is "gotten beyond." But that is extremely unlikely to happen with the limited resources of mankind.

So you are both standing at a decision point. That decision is the SAME decision that we all have to make....the narrow gate or the broad gate. They lead in two very different directions and do not "cross over." It has everything to do with the destination, not the mere journey.

May God speak to the hearts of both you and your husband, and may you both be listening to His "still, quiet voice."
