Sturgis,
I have just returned from our mandatory settlement conference and the closest we got to the judge was when he recognized me in the courtroom and waved hello.
To my STBXW's credit she answered my question in regards to the money I had given my mom and sister by stating that it was her attorney that put it in. She said he was doing it out of desperation and tried to shock me into conceding several points. Strangely, she was believable and I don't doubt her word in this matter. I guess my getting in her attorneys face on our last meeting and storming out convinced him that I wasn't going to be bullied, bluffed or turned away from my day in court.
